HappyDays Posted August 18 Posted August 18 I think he'll make the roster. A vet like that doesn't sign this late in the offseason unless he has a strong inkling that he's making the team. In Leonhard's presser today he noted that Phi Mathis looked good early in camp but has fallen off (in so many words), meanwhile DeWayne Carter has made zero noise at camp and didn't show anything against Carolina 3rd stringers. I wouldn't have minded seeing Thompson as Veteran depth, but there are other options out there. If the Patriots start signing some of these former McDermott defensive players who are still free agents, then that means we should score at least 40 on them if we face them in the playoffs.
