Practice on the 18th

I was able to get tickets for Tuesday's practice. I have a couple of questions and also thought to start a topic that could help others. Tickets were snatched up but being a week day I was wondering if the stadium would be packed. How soon should I get there...is food going to be sold...??

My guess half of the people with tickets won't go. It should be fine. There might be limited concessions available.

I have not been to the stadium yet, and I really haven't been down that way since construction actually began.  So, I am not familiar with the traffic patterns.  I am going to the open practice on Tuesday, but have no idea where the lots are and where to go.  Coming from a ways away.  Usually when we went to the old stadium, we would come through Lockport and take Transit Road all the way straight to the stadium.

 

So, my question is, is this still viable with the new traffic patterns?  Can I access the lots coming from that direction?  It sounds like an absolute mess down there and am kind of worried about what to expect.  If anyone can help me out here since I am not as familiar with the area as a lot of you, it would be appreciated.

Remember it is Erie County Fair time. Just looked up that Fair gates open at 11. Usually for game day part of Abbott is closed by the stadium itself. Hoping to update as soon as more information becomes available....

It shouldn’t be bad. I don’t think it will have anywhere close to the amount of people as the last 2 events and those were fine. I’m sure there will be some concessions and I’m assuming that only the lower bowl will be staffed. Parking and traffic shouldn’t be an issue.

I don't understand what patterns changed. It's not like the roads are different than the past 3 years.

Also going tomorrow.  I can't find anywhere what time the gates open.  I'm guessing 7-7:30am.  Does anyone know for sure?

Yeah I mean there might be different lots you prefer and maybe they are changing patterns but this definitely qualifies as over thinking something.

INFORMATION FOR AUGUST 18 BUFFALO BILLS PRACTICE

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. – Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia announces the following information for the ticketed open Buffalo Bills practice on Tuesday, August 18. The practice will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Sheriff Garcia recommends all guests review Highmark Stadium maps to locate the proper location in which to park and gate at which to enter. Additionally, all fans are reminded to familiarize themselves with the list of prohibited items at Highmark Stadium in order to avoid delays at the gates.

ABBOTT ROAD

• Abbott Road immediately adjacent to the stadium closes to north and southbound traffic at 4:30 a.m.

• This section of Abbott Road will remain closed until approximately 12:30 p.m.

BIG TREE ROAD

• Prior to the conclusion of the game (approximately 10 a.m.)

o Big Tree Road from Fieldhouse Drive to Rte. 219 will convert to two-lane, one-way traffic traveling eastbound away from the stadium.

o Big Tree Road from Abbott Road to Southwestern Boulevard will convert to two-lane, one-way traffic traveling westbound away from the stadium.

STADIUM LOTS

• All stadium lots open at 5:30 a.m.

• Accessible parking lots Blue ADA and White ADA are available on a first-come, first-served basis. These lots are in the same locations as 2025, but they have been renamed. The Blue ADA Lot can only be accessed from Fieldhouse Drive via Big Tree Road. The White ADA Lot can only be accessed from Orange Drive via Southwestern Boulevard.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Intoxicated and unmanageable guests will NOT be permitted entry into the stadium.

• Security gates will open at 6:30 a.m.

• Ticket entries open at 6:30 a.m.

• The Rideshare Lot is on the west side of the former ECC campus. Fans utilizing ridesharing services postgame should expect long delays.
