It's that time ladies and gents.... time to go on the record with some bold predictions for 2026!

2025 was a case of near misses for my bolds. I had three miss by a whisker:

- Falcons to lead the league in sacks (they were second behind only the Broncos);

- Allen to set a career high in completion % and go over 70% (he set a career high but ended with 69.3% regular season);

- Matt Milano to break his career best of 3.5 sacks (he matched his previous high and lodged 3.5 sacks for a second time).

So with just a little more luck let's hope to land some this year. As ever I will do 4 NFL wide and 4 Bills specific:

Rest of NFL

- New Orleans Saints to win the NFC South and host the NFC Championship game;

- Green Bay Packers to finish 8-9, miss the playoffs, and fire Matt LaFleur;

- five of the seven AFC Playoff teams to be different in 2026 to those that qualified in 2025;

- Cam Ward to throw for over 4,000 yards and at least 30 touchdowns

Bills

- DJ Moore to lead the Bills in yards, but not in receptions or touchdowns;

- Greg Rousseau to post double digit sacks and be voted as a second team all-pro;

- Rookie 4th round pick Kaleb Elams-Orr to lead the Bills in snaps among interior linebackers;

- Buffalo to come out of the Kansas City game on Thanksgiving below .500, then run the table and make the playoffs.

As ever, flame away and add your own!

I always enjoy this thread. I haven’t given it a ton of thought but here goes:

Bills:

  • Allen throws for 40+ TDs
  • Keon catches 7+ of those
  • Kincaid leads team in catches
  • Oliver 1st team All-Pro

Rest of NFL:

  • Ravens finish 3rd in AFCN
  • Chiefs miss playoffs again
  • Giants make playoffs as WC
  • Texans miss playoffs

One of my favorite threads of the year!!

NFL:

- Division winners: Saints, Rams, Cowboys, Lions, Bills, Ravens, Chargers, Jaguars

- Seahawks & Patriots miss the playoffs

- The Arizona Cardinals become the 6th team to have 3 guys with over 1,000 receiving yards: MHJ, Wilson, McBride. (BOLD)

- Brock Bowers breaks the TE receiving yardage mark for a season

Bills:

- DJ Moore goes for 1200+ yards

- Josh Allen has over 45 total TDs

- Kaleb Elarms-Orr wins DROY (BOLD)

- Matt Prater kicks the game winning FG for the Bills in the Super Bowl

NE falls off some, needs good fortune to make playoffs as a wild card

Baltimore and KC are challenged in their own divisions, both teams QBs show regression

AJ brown shows real physical regression by the end of the season

Dallas gets everyone all excited again

Jets fire coach in season (not bold)

2 and 3 tight end sets set a modern era record for % of snaps around the NFL

Allen has a career year, particularly in total TDs

Bills have multiple players in pro bowl/all pro consideration -- I'll put the total all pro count at 4.5

Bills win division, 1 seed, Superbowl

I really like the Saints chances. I think Kellen Moore is a good offensive play designer and play caller, they have a strong offensive line, Olave and Tyson, Etienne and Kamara....  if Tyler Shough is good (and he was decent as a rookie) that would be enough for them to win the South. And then I think they'd be a dangerous playoff team. Defensive front is the question but their secondary on paper is pretty strong. The best teams in the NFC are in the West IMO but that division could well cannibalise itself and end up with maybe a 3rd seed and a 5th seed or something.

It's bold, I don't think it is crazy though.

On Cam Ward my thinking is they have upgraded at WR, they don't really run the ball all that well, they hired Daboll as OC and they are going to be in some shootouts with their defense. So plenty of chances to pass....

Well there's bold and there is whatever these two are!! 😱😱

Bills

1) Kincaid goes over 1000 with 8+ TDs and then signs the richest TE contract in history

2) More sacks than any year from the McD reign

3) Slay the Chiefs curse in the wildcard round at a rabid Highmark stadium, registering the loudest ever noise level at an NFL game

4) Jackson Hawes has more catches than Skyler Bell

NFL

1) Bengals number one seed in the AFC

2) Eagles miss the playoffs

3) Broncos finish 3rd in their division

4) Cowboys finally reach a title game after 30 years. And lose to the Rams obviously.

Bills:

- Bills trade for Maxx Crosby

- Bills lead NFL in interceptions forced

- Josh wins NFL and Super Bowl MVP

Rest of NFL (1 per division):

- 49ers finish last in their division

- Colts DE Latu finishes with league lead in sacks

- Carson Wentz starts the most games at QB for the Vikings, KOC fired after the season

- Javonte Williams leads the league in rushing attempts and yards

- Bijan, not Gibbs, will be the top RB in fantasy football

- TMZ will find Aaron Rodgers wife

- Chiefs miss the playoffs one more time

Bengals win division

Chiefs miss the playoffs. Kelce retires to become fulltime Mr. Swift

Jets win 7 games. This is actually good. Keep them away from the #1 pick

Texans win division finish as the #1 seed.

Allen throws for 35 TD passes with 7 rushing TD's

Cook over 1500 yards rushing with 10 TD's

Bills defense with 50 plus sacks

DJ Moore with 1200+ yards receiving

NFL- Jets and Patriots fight for second place in the AFCE. Miami secures #1 pick

After rushing back too quickly, Mahomes gets reinjured. Chiefs fall apart, Kelce and Reid retire

Baker Mayfield is an MVP candidate

Seahawks regress. Wild card and one and done in playoffs.

Bills specific -

Slow start costs Buffalo #1 seed. Finish as division winners and 3 sees.

Bradly Chubb with 10+ sacks leads the defense

Keon Coleman put it together. Becomes very solid #2 WR. 75/850/7 type stat line.

Skyler Bell is inactive most of the season. Finishes with less than 20 catches.

Due to injury Kilgore gets his chance to start. Never loses the spot.

As optimistic as I am, this wild predictions time, so I figure I'll put all the negative nancy stuff right here, just to get it out of the way. If the Bills win the SB I will bump this as I dance drunkenly in the middle of the street:

Bills start well but when they hit a rough patch Brady is unable to switch off the 'players' buddy' persona and muster the respect needed to bring the team back. Josh, with no one left to reign him in, will go wild slinging the ball around and lead the league in INTs. The team will get blown out multiple times, leading to endless threads here titled things like "so yall are still happy we canned McD?"

Bills miss the playoffs, complaints about the stadium continue and culminate in major problems caused by the first heavy snow. The field cannot handle the melt run off and becomes water logged. The Bills play a late season game in the mud and look just as sloppy.

The season goes down in history as the biggest disappointment in franchise history.

Elsewhere:

Miami is nowhere near as bad as expected

Chiefs come roaring back to the playoffs and the media talks non stop about Mahomes having the greatest comeback of all time

Ravens scrape into the playoffs and lose the WC

Denver miss the playoffs

Super Bowl - Bengals/Eagles

Bills:

- Josh Allen leads the league in passing TD's but also INT's.  45 total TD's.  Brady lets him play more aggressive.

- James Cooks will lead the league in YPC but not yards.  5 pass catching TD's.

- Ed Oliver will get 10 sacks

- TJ Sanders gets the 2nd most snaps at interior line.

- Bills have 50 sacks as a team.  4 Players with at least 7 sacks.  Chubb, Oliver, Hoecht and Groot.

- Shakir leads our team in pass catching TD's.  Kincaid #2.

Virgil will be along soon to reiterate my thoughts, except he will add that the stadium suffers from subsidence and has to be demolished in the offseason

Bills go 12-5, win division and are the 2/3 seed.  Make it to the Super Bowl and lose to the Rams.  Chiefs miss playoffs.  Bengals start fast but Burrow injured by week 10, and it's the same old story with "glass" Burrow. Aaron Rodgers will not finish the season. Go Bills!!

1) Ed Oliver gets 10+ sacks and an All-Pro bid

3) Skyler Bell catches a game-winning touchdown

4) Bills actually win a game in overtime

5) Frank Gore Jr. gets 300+ yards and 2-3 TDs this season

NFL-related:

1) Malik Willis throws for 3,500 yards and 20+ touchdowns as Miami remains in purgatory at 7-10

I'm not saying buy lotto numbers at my direction BUT last year haha I had some good ones hit league wise:

NFL Related:

-Broncos win the division at 12-5 including a TNF win late season in KC to swing the crown to them. They make a run to the AFC title game

-The Ravens win the division and finish as the 3 seed before losing again in the divisional round against Denver. Harbuagh is fired after the season as enough is enough after years of not breaking through to the Super Bowl.

-The Saints go 1-16 as the cap crunch is real, their QB situation and lack of talent catches up hard even in the NFC South to secure the 1st overall pick

-The Raiders are in a playoff spot week 18 but lose at home to finish 9-8 and the Patriots take their place

-The Eagles win the NFC East becoming the first back to back division champs in over twenty years

-The Bucs miss the playoffs at 9-8 due to the defense fading this year and the Falcons take the crown reversing a few years of the opposite occurring

-The Dolphins again falter late and fade to 5-10 culminating in McDaniel being fired and Grier being fired after the season. Tua is cut from his contract and Miami starts a rebuild.

I gotta run my simulation for the season and I'll be back with my picks today

That would be so funny if the Ravens did so bad that the owner held a press conference to fire Harbaugh a second time
