If this is how Brady is going to handle injuries going forward......not knowing the status of key players on a week to week basis could get quite annoying, IMO.

True - but it is preseason so they dont have to report. Regular season they have to report. Hopefully it get's better because I agree with you that this is annoying. McGovern.....we need him.

He will be as vague as possible until they tell him he can’t (reg season)

Remember, the only reason they tell you anything is for gambling.

But as you know, fan curiosity is the last thing any NFL team cares about.

And as @That's No Moon pointed out, NFL teams only disclose for the sake of the betting markets in order to minimize "insider knowledge."

Of course the clear reason Brady would be as secretive as possible is the same reason Belichick was... to keep the opponents guessing... and I'm fine with that.

And as @Dillenger4 pointed out, it's the preseason.

Personally I don't need to know... I kinda like the suspense.

I understand and agree with you all, but I just wouldn't want to see the NFL injury report turn into an NHL injury report......upper body, lower body, and that's all you get.

Haven't seen anything new yet today, but wanted to bring this thread back up in case we do hear something.

For what it's worth, if you hadn't heard this weekend, both Hairston and Bishop were in full uniform on Saturday and warmed up on the field with everyone else, just did not play. CJGJ did not dress. Will be interested to see what happens with him on Tuesday at practice. Also, it was mentioned that Skyler Bell did not play Saturday but probably would have if it was a regular season game. And finally, McGovern says he's doing well, but probably won't play in the preseason as he expects to be ready for Week 1.

So overall, not ideal but also not a terrible injury situation so far. **knocks on wood**

Hairston is starting to become concerning. If my first round "speedster" CB is constantly nagged by lower body injuries, then what do I really have there? I need more reliability from CB2.

Yeah I am with you, I am not trying to be fatalistic, but this pick is trending to turn out very poorly, he had injury history at Kentucky literally made it thru a handful of training camp practices in 2 years and is hurt, then when he recovered and got to play gets hurt again...  Dude is becoming the Josh Norris of our secondary... I hope he figures it out, but in the end, how can you really plan for him to be CB2 and throw the eggs in that basket knowing this history... they really need to begin to look at others for CB2 and expect him to be a nice to have from time to time...  just a feeling...

You gotta know that Houston and Buffalo are eyeing each other very closely in anticipation of their season opening game.  Injuries are a major part of that advanced scouting.  So, you're absolutely right about Brady being intentionally vague and non-committal.  I'm sure Demeco Ryans is doing pretty much the same thing.

This is why the NFL requires teams to have an accurate injury report during the season. You’ll see it there even if he doesn’t discuss it thoroughly

On the Moore subject, there are a number of comments that criticize him for taunting the opposition to come and tackle him (thereby risking injury). I’ve also seen a much-more-likely scenario where he was asking a Bills player (Palmer?) to come closer and block for him (reducing the risk of injury).

McGovern said he's feeling good, but he's still looking at a multi-week injury. He said, "should be a few more weeks."

In other words, he's feeling fine but will feel better when TC is over with. 🤣

I agree with this scenario.  When watching the game, that is exactly what I thought he was doing.  I know all the announcers said he was inviting contact, but I thought he was directing Palmer to come help him out.

For what it’s worth, McGovern was on the sidelines in gym cloths for the Panthers game— walking around, interacting with other players, and seemingly in a good mood.
