T bone Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Not sure about that, there certainly both in the national title discussion but.....if you look at their schedules, Miami's is extremely weak. They do play Clemson, but I believe they miss SMU. Notre Dame does have some potential traps. They play SMU/USC/BYU/Whisky/ solid teams but none are true national contenders. That Miami/Notre Dame Game in November could be a knockout game. Which would leave one of them out. I am going with Texas (I know every year the disappoint) & Oregon. The ducks get Michigan & Washington at Autzen, and if they could navigate road trips to USC/Ohio St and take care of business at home (where they are virtually unbeatable) I think they get into the playoffs. Moore is going to have a big year and be the #1 pick in the draft next April(with Manning being the #2 pick). Quote

Mikie2times Posted August 13 Posted August 13 I really think it's foolish to dismiss Indiana. They're now adding actual high end talent, not just coaching up three star guys. You would also think the "Chip" would be gone this year, but I don't think that is the case at all. They're ranked 6th nationally. Sort of a slap to a team off a NC title, mind you Mendoza is gone, but Mendoza like current QB Josh Hoover was not exactly heralded pre transfer. Good players at Cal and TCU, but Indiana has now made Rourke and Mendoza look elite. Expect the same from Hoover. Outside of that I would probably lead Texas or Georgia. Arch was looking really strong to close the year. Georgia is always in it and has consistency at the QB spot. I'm going Texas vs Indiana Quote

I'm going Texas vs Indiana I think it’s less about sleeping on IU and more about replacing Mendoza. QB may end up great but currently an unknown. Quote
