now with the Torrance contract in the fold- signing him now makes sense.  
I didn’t think we had room for another edge rusher, but who knows?  The guy can still get to the QB and wouldn’t be playing major snaps as a depth piece in a deep edge room.  
 

I’d prefer Cooks or a LB but I’d welcome Von back with open arms.  
Pass rush >> everything else.  

This move would really rile up the haters.  And I’m here for it

Student Body Right on X has been right about some stuff recently and has alluded to a “familiar face coming back”

after 8/3. 
 

I saw reports that they have Hoecht lining up everywhere on the DL, so if he isn’t OLB3, but more of a Swiss Army knife, I could see how Von coming back as OLB3 with Parker as rotational guys is the vision.

Last year in Washington he signed for just over 6 million with just under 5 million guaranteed. If we can get him at that number I'd be ok with it. He's really close with Bradley Chubb. Wouldn't shock me if he signed for a bit less to play his final season here with Chubb.

I don't think they would have wasted 1.2 million on Danna if they knew this was a plan.

 

I also don't think Von is any good.  His sacks last year were mostly coverage sacks.  I think I seen one, maybe two, where he actually beat his man off the line and got to the QB.

1.2m guaranteed is nothing. They walk away from guaranteed amounts that low frequently. I don't consider someone slightly safe until they're at least 3m guaranteed. And even that isn't a guarantee - no pun intended.

 

Especially when the player isn't knocking it out of the park. Only reports I've heard is that he hasn't looked great.

He has been really pushing lately on his social media for a team to sign him. Showing a lot of workout videos and talking his talk. There’s a reasonable chance that is the case, but then again he is a natural OLB and has played at a very high level at that position.

I think we really need to come to terms with the Bills not caring that we think this lol. 
 

They clearly have a vision for this Defense that doesn’t include a space eating, double-gapping NT. 
 

Under McDermott it was frustrating because the run defense was terrible.. Leonhard will have an entirely different approach with big OLB’s and a big DE like Landon Jackson, LB’ers like KEO/DW potentially at MIKE instead of trying to stop the run with 4 down linemen and Taron Johnson.
