Time is growing short. We are in dire need of a competent backup for this team. Who is out there, that if we need to break the glass, can hold the fort down until 17 can retake the reins?

Will Levis seems to be one of the best options. He's 3rd on Tennessee's depth chart, and they just paid Mitch so he's PS at best for them.

He's athletic & reportedly has matured. I'd be on board with getting him, and it's about time we got a longer-term backup.

See whomever shakes lose from Indy, as I wouldn't mind getting Easton Stick.

Kyle Allen is here to play golf with Josh.  They aren't replacing him.

If Allen is hurt for more than two games they'll just bring someone in mid season.

I can’t figure out why they don’t draft a develop qb behind Allen? He would be on a cost controlled rookie contract and he can’t be any worse than the guys they have on the roster now. And if by chance they develop a decent qb they could have trade bait.

If a team's "dire need" is a backup QB, the team is in fantastic shape!

Could be. If Josh misses a month it’s potentially tragic. I agree with @Bruffalothough. If Josh is going to miss even a game, someone not in camp now will be starting the following week.

I feel it's almost bad luck to talk about Josh missing games. But, I want someone on the team now, that can seamlessly keep the offense on track.

I'm curious to see who Cleveland cuts as well. They have 4. Watson, the 2 they drafted last year and one this year. Will be interesting.

How many NFL teams are fine playing the backup?

Pretty much every team has a better backup than us

He literally keeps saying how he thinks he's one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world and how he should be starting

You don't want a back up like that

Tell that to the 1980 Buffalo Bills! Fergy had to play with a broken ankel, it didn't go well

I think he may have had a thing with the psycho ex of a certain superstar quarterback.   If that’s the case, then he is never, ever, never coming here.

That's what every other team's fanbase says.

If the Bills did trade for Levis his cap hit would be around 2 million to the Bills or any team acquiring him. I would frankly not mind it Levis is on the last year of his rookie deal, let him develop in the system this year bring him back for a added one year deal so he “develops” more in a good system and maybe gets another bite at the apple to start or a bigger backup contract like Mitch
