Micah Hyde joins Buffalo Plus Team (weekly podcast)

Not sure how many have watched or follow Buffalo Plus but this is pretty cool news.

Really like this.  Of all the Bills pods out there, this one is easily my favorite.

I need to start checking that out.  Buffalo Plus.  I live in Rochester and watch WHAM news so I see them talking it up often.  Others have said they do a good job, getting Hyde is awesome for them

I watch quite often on YT.  It’s kind of meh, but I don’t dislike it.  I find Dan annoying more often than not.  Jenna is an ok moderator type.  I remember watching Mike as a kid.  I thought he was a geek back then. I appreciate his insight now, even though he’s also, kind of annoying

 

Very happy about the Micah addition.  Brings them much more credibility instantly.  Will be nice to have one guy on the show that knows X’s and O’s

Should really elevate the show.

The trio don't seem to take themselves too seriously unlike some other podcasts, who sometimes describe a game like they're describing the D-Day invasion.

Buffalo plus is probably the least informative of the Bills pods I listen to but it is the most entertaining for me and is my favorite.

Should really elevate the show. 

Especially when they are recent enough to have spent time with the existing team...  Like I love Eric Woods... but I liked him more when he was recently retired. The perspective at that point (although gonna clearly be more jaded to "his guys")   gives real insight into the personality and dynamics of the locker room... a real understanding of how that team views thinks, emotionally, interacts, plays off on another and reacts to challenges....

Listened to it this morning and he was both informative and absolutely affable. He fits the collegial spirit of their content pretty perfectly and gave great insight into the intensity of the practice ("was it the first day with the pads on?").... looking forward to him settling in and listening to his weekly takes throughout the season. 

 

I love how many former players have become part of the Bills content creation community: Mitch Morse just announced a collaboration with Chris Trapasso, Jerry Ostroski is fantastic with Joe Marino (and Jeremy White sometimes), John Fina's been doing it forever and even I've gotten into it with him on the social medias, Stevie Johnson is an absolute hoot. As is Arthur Moats (and love that he's settled with the Bills in spite of his split career). I'm sure I'm missing a few.

 

I guess we can count Eric Wood, but as he's also an official announcer that feels a tad different, although he's clearly part of the community as well.

Marino has a great X’s and O’s show. But the reason why this one is my fav of the bunch is it’s produced somewhat similarly to a mainstream show yet nobody is yelling and trying to make the show about them. 

 

Catalana is always a great listen. He reminds me of a guy that you might run into at your local sports establishment that’s not playing for the camera, just gives you his opinion on whatever the topic is and most of the time he’s right or close to it.

They do live shows in Rochester throughout the season (once and a while in Buffalo).  Hoping to get out to one this year but that's basically all I've heard from others that have gone.
