There is a finite amount of time to assess what they have in our current roster, and they need the reps. Once the season rolls around, it will depend on injuries or busts. Prater is most likely done as he was done last year, came back and he broke down by the end of the season. As much as I loved Milano while here, he’s getting old and slowing down. He also admittedly so now injury prone.if we have injuries at WR or LB, I can see an emergency call to Cooks or Thompson. We have depth now at CB, and Tre was more of a fit for McDs defense. IGB and Hairston’s fit the man corner type player Leonard wants. I doubt we see any familiar face until September, and only of there is a serious injury. 1 Quote

uticaclub Posted August 5 Posted August 5 (edited) If I had to pick someone, it would be Diggs. I’m not sure how any of our former defensive players would fit into the new scheme and culture. Shaq Thompson played well for us last year and was a significant upgrade on the field when he replaced Bernard, but I’m not sure he would want to come back. I love TreDay and Matty Muscles, but their time here is over. Poyer, Phillips, Jones, Cooks, Bosa, and Prater, all contributed last year but I believe they are all heading toward retirement. Bosa was extremely poor against the run. Anyway, the roster turnover is a positive change, and I look forward to seeing where this new group of players can take us because we know the ceiling was with the last regime.
