I don't want to get too hyped up but this has the potential to be the best offense in Allen's career. A lot of DJ Moore trade takes are going to end up looking very silly. We're 5 days into camp and it's immediately apparent that he's the 2nd best pass catcher Allen has ever had in his career. A different specimen completely from what Allen has had to work with the past few years.

I’ve been saying this since we got DJ Moore.  People really don’t understand how good he is around here and the impact his presence has on Keon, Kincaid, Shakir, etc as well - getting to do what they do best.

This will be the #1 offense in the AFC IMO and maybe the NFL this year.

Sounds like the offense is cooking out there. Hopefully there is Moore to come. Isn't the defense usually ahead at this point though? Not that they aren't making plays or that I am complaining or anything. Just used to hearing more about defensive plays when the pads first come on or my brain damage remembers incorrectly.

I wasn't too excited about getting Moore because last few times I seen live plays of him he dropped the ball every time. I am starting to get pretty excited about it though. Can't wait to watch his first catch and his first TD as a Bill!

I see what you did there. Well played.

Should I be happy about the catch, or upset about the pass defense?

I think we should be happy about the throw and catch. One, Brandon Cooks against Denver. Two, some people on here say Josh can't throw a deep ball to save his life.

This is always the time of the year when I never quite understand if I should be elated about the offense or worried about the defense.

Defence does have some players back, so that should help

This is the case with every TC play. The next step is for us all to overreact to a meaningless preseason game.

Whoa! Watch this. This guy is one tough dude. You can feel it. Calm, locked in. Nothing phases him.

He pretty much said the there is nothing about this that is too big for him. Most rookies, when asked who's helped him the most, name a veteran at their position, because the veteran is helping the rookie deal with everything that is different - the speed, the way they practice, etc. KEO don't need that. His answer was Leonhard, because Leonhard has been teaching him, starting from pre-draft interviews, what he needs to know to play in this defense.

Cool.

Glass half full - pass game is opened up. DJ Moore will be prime Diggs. Josh has enough weapons and McD held them back

Glass half empty - secondary is awful. Getting beat by 3rd stringers. Benford will fade and the young guys are no good. McD coached them up.

I'm more happy about the pass itself

I saw a couple people in attendance say it looked like the pass was overthrown but then Moore hit another gear and caught up to it... Good reminder that deep throw accuracy is as much on the WR as it is on the QB.

I think some of the national media is starting to backtrack and get nervous about having all their initial tweets and videos from reaction to the trade dug up later this season.

Bill Barnwell had a pod recently listing surprise All-pros and he brought up DJ Moore.

And deep ball's are much more nuanced than "be fast and run under it".

This has been a theme at camp, KEO is the last one off the practice field every day. The guy really wants it and he's an elite athlete with a 9.33 RAS score. I think he needs one good year of NFL strength and conditioning to get his weight up and then he can really take off.

Thanks for this. I'm always amazed at the details these guys work on. I mean, he's practicing his footwork at the time of the snap, concentrating on how to do it the way he's been taught, so that when he's out there tomorrow, he'll do it that way. Benford was like that as rookie. Focused on every little detail.
