Nasty. Wasn't that the week where they had spent a lot of time saying he would see more of the ball, hit him on the first play from scrimmage and then lost him soon after too? It was basically the point week 6 or 7 they were ready to commit to more of the offense going through him. 

 

I have cautious optimism for him being able to perform at lower end #2 level with DJ Moore opposite him..... IF they commit to him in that role early and don't try and force feed us more Keon.

Example #2,135,721 of fans taking shots at players, calling them soft, a bust, etc., without knowing a damn thing they’re talking about.

 

Hope he stays healthy and we get to see what Beane intended when he was acquired.

Palmer is an excellent receiver. If he can step up and be the number two behind Dj Moore, we are cooking with gas my friends. Shakir, Bell, Keon… that’s a pretty decent group. Best than we’ve had since Diggs/Sanders/Bease/Davis

I was excited at the signing and felt he would explode with Allen as his QB.  This is it, a do or die year regardless of injury.

Palmer looked pretty good in the opener last year.  So did Coleman.  Then they each got hurt.

Went and checked his stats. Even last year before the injury he was on track to be what he is…a couple catches a game, 500 yards or so a season. A decent player, but no TDs, nothing spectacular. In the Bills WR room I’ll take that - a real NFL receiver.🤷🏻‍♂️

I'd argue nearly 100% of cases of an NFL player suddenly "sucking" is due to injury. 

 

Fans are dumb. It's OK if you're a newb, but lots of seasoned fans who never learn.

He's like a 2/4.  He'll get a lot of snaps as a 2, but the targets go to 1 and "3" in the slot.  If they take someone off for a 2nd tight end, it's probably him.  And when a young player is brought in, they'll take snaps from palmer.  But he's a fine player - challenge to cover in man, and he's a good blocker.

Yeah, like its shocking when a players 4.3 speed doesn't show up on tape at age 30 with a bunch of ankle issues.

We may not have a Ja’Marr Chase or Justin Jefferson, but if things go according to plan and everyone stays relatively healthy, not many teams have a Josh Palmer as their 4th receiving option when Moore, Shakir and Kincaid are out there.  
 

I expect this WR room to suprise people this year and Palmer vs opposing teams CB2, CB3 or a Safety is a matchup he can win consistently.

He was a bit of a risky signing because he has a long injury history.

These situations highlight how worthless it is listening to anything these people say.

 

Happens all the time.  Players/coaches/GMs all say one thing, then, heading into the next year the narrative shifts to "well the situation last year was actually this."

If they remove that back shoulder throw to him he might have a chance 🤦‍♂️

The feel I got from his time in LA was a guy you were always waiting to make a jump that never came.   
 

And it seems like much of that was due to injury.  Specifically nagging injury that he played through, miss a game here and there, but would hamper him from ever making that jump.  

 

He had one 72 catch year for 769 yards and then a couple years just under 40.  If he stays healthy, big if, he has low end 2, high end 3 ability.  And specifically, for Allen, he gets separation, which is huge for how JA processes the game.

Think of how nasty it must have been from the players perspective watching fans say he sucks after that kind of injury and not being allowed to say how hurt he was. If you have that kind of empathy. Or maybe you're one of the "I can say whatever I want because he makes more money than me" types.

I don't know how to really respond to this.  I literally wrote above that i think he's a good player and I think you have the context wrong on this comment.
