I think. Well maybe be different here and there, but I'd be shocked if we revamped the entire offense and it's concepts with Brady at the helm.

 

While plays and concepts (and terminology) should remain largely the same, I don’t think the impact the removal of McD will have on offensive strategy and playcalling should be underestimated. Sure, it was “Brady’s offense” but don’t you think McD’s game plans were a critical part of how Brady called plays? We’ve all bemoaned the way McD wanted the Bills to score “slowly” to protect his defense.

 

Additionally, Carmichael brings a lot with him, and I think that’s going to create some looks we haven’t seen the Bills use.

After reading the details about the injury he had last year, I do understand why he looked so out of it. A high ankle sprain, sprained mcl and torn hip labrum all on the left side of his body and all three injuries happened at once. 

 

It would be nice to see some growth from him early in the year to get the offense on track.

I have a torn left hip labrum right now... And I would definitely be on IR if I could.

The "McDermott is handcuffing the offense" was overestimated, not underestimated. What handcuffed the offense is the fact that the two full years of Brady as OC he has had zero legit boundary receivers. Hopefully DJ Moore changes that and opens some stuff up that was not available to them previously. 

 

Carmichael will bring some wrinkles. I'm hoping we can see some more tight end seam routes and running backs in the passing game which were two Saints staples.

We definitely have talent at TE and RB. Would like to see them used creatively, along with our new receivers (healthy Palmer included as “new”)

Not going to argue the McD "meddling" aspect of things any further. He's gone now, and I expect a more explosive, give-Josh-the-ball-as-many-times-as-possible strategy going forward.

I don't think you are going to get that. I do expect they will increase their pass percentage slightly though - because they have a player who can get open.

That was very reason was cited last year on one the radio shows (I forget by whom) as to why the Bills don't employ or are marginally successful with the screen pass game.

This is what I'm thinking.  

 

Since we now have Moore and maybe Palmer can actually stay healthy, I expect the passing percentage to increase a little but I do expect us to be more aggressive downfield.  We can pass more out of 3 tight end sets because of Moore.

 

I think Cook could have even more of a productive year because he will have more space.

I haven't bemoaned that, you make McD sound like same crazed vain defense minded head coach.  While that MIGHT be true, no way even anecdotally to prove that.  Ceterius Parabis, you want a well rested defense, when you use the pejorative word "protect",  again you seem to want to  blame McD.  McD has turned into many Bill fans current whipping boy.

That sounds like Daboll's offense and I hope not.  We've got a great rushing attack, if Moore pans out and we include passing to RB's, we have a really well-rounded offense.  Take what's working.  What I expect to change is that we take advantage of other team's weaknesses, are more diverse with play-calling in the first half when needed and build leads early, hopefully winning more games by comfortable margins.
