You mean a football player has a history of getting banged up playing football in training camp? Oh...there MUST be a conspiracy here.

He craves attention...so according to you he fakes injuries to keep him off the field where he would be getting attention.

Each team, you realize would have access to X-ray, MRIs, CAT scans ECT. Plus actual medical doctors that can evaluate him.

Look, if you don't like the guy and your opinion is biased, just say that

How many times has Josh Allen been carted off during training camp?

Players getting carted off during training camp isn't as common as you think it is.

CJGJ has now done this 3 times.  He loves when the attention is on him.

The guy went from getting carted off to doing stupid stuff with Dawkins 3 days later.

Actually, you couldn't be more wrong on this part of you tried.

Most camps have fields that are spread further away from the medical facility then normal. Guys are carted literally all the time for that reason. It's literally mentioned every single off-season.

And because Josh Allen hasn't been carted off...well that MUST mean other guys are faking it. That's a horrible strawman argument.

I've seen some horrible HORRIBLE takes on this board. Yours is easily top 3...and it's not second or third.

It's obvious you don't like me, just block me.

CJGJ does this every training camp and ends up being fine days later.

CJGJ has attention issues and has been on multiple teams because of that.

None of this is debatable.  Just do yourself a favor, and block me

Lmao. What is this grade school?

Let me give you a harsh reality. I don't care enough about you to like, not like, love, hate... anything...you. As far as I can remember, this very well may be the first time we have interacted on these boards. Get over yourself, you aren't that important.

Honestly, what does bother me is how you can fling around that a guy is malingering with absolutely zero proof. Just that he's gotten hurt a few times in training camp but is ultimately fine. Believe it or not, teams do talk. If he was repeatedly accused of faking injuries, word would spread. But you know, Johnny Internet Poster knows better than doctor, trainers and their staffs that have access to his actual medical results. Got it. I'll let you have last word if you want. It seems important to you.

I’m simply challenging the notion that the old coach will win elsewhere like he did here. That’s just not likely.

Andy Reid, Jon Gruden, Tony Dungy, Don Shula, & if I dug probably others were head coaches of teams that they had turned into winning franchises & then were fired (or left) only to go on to win a championship with their second teams so there are exceptions to every situation .

If you look at McD's tenure as a HC specifically, it was very short &successful ! I feel he learned every season and changed things to stay relevant or to continue to keep the Bills winning & I feel even last season was still learning & will take that learned knowledge to the next team that hires him & be better for it.

Then if you add the absolutely TERRIBLE REF CALLS into the mix the last 2 seasons, I believe the Bills would already have a SB in the trophy case but IMHO the NFL wanted a different out come & the Bills weren't the sexy choice in any of the games during the McD era !

1 you don't get to be a HC in the NFL by being stupid, just lucky, or both they are VERY intelligent & if you look at the other HC's I mentioned their tenure as such has been & was much longer than McD's as the HC .

McD was only a HC 9 yrs which is a very short time & accomplished a lot in that short period of time . Andy Reid was the HC of the Eagles for 14 seasons, Shula was with the Colts for 7 seasons, Dungy was in Tampa 6 seasons & handed a SB team to Gruden & Gruden was a HC for 4 seasons when he went to Tampa .

I agree things were getting a bit stale & there needed to be changed but to say that this guy won't or can't win with another team is very short sighted to say the least but there again that is just me a fan not a "Knowledgeable Football person" outside looking in opinion ...

And I will be routing for him as long as it's not against the Bills & I for one ope he makes all of the haters here eat crow !! That will be a glorious day !!

I posted the records of coaches with great QBs and when they didn’t have them. Reid and Dungy were included in that group. They did much better when they had Mahomes and Manning. The numbers are the numbers. You win at a higher clip with a great QB than without. That’s just what it is. There’s no feeling or emotion in that statement. It’s statistically true. It HIGHLY unlikely that he will be getting an upgrade at QB in the next stop. I’m not seeing any data that supports a coach being better away from a star QB. I’d love to see something to change my mind. The math is the math

Life can be a funny thing. The 49ers had Montana and then Steve Young. Nothing says a HC can’t get two top QB’s in different stops. That’s why you never say never. McD often had bad breaks in ways we need not repeat. He was close, a lot. I would not be at all surprised to see him as a HC in a SB in the future. I would not rule that out.

Oh I would. If he didn’t make it WITH Josh Allen it is HIGHLY unlikely he makes it without. It’s not impossible but it is an incredibly small chance that he achieves more without Allen. That would go against history. Just like the chances of him following Josh Allen with a “Steve Young equivalent” are incredibly small.

There are roughly 500 QBs that have started a game since the merger. There are 257 that have at least 20 starts. Exactly 20 are in the HOF. Obviously that doesn’t include active players. Josh Allen is just about a lock according to the HOF Monitor. The chance of a HOF QB is 5%. McDermott already had one. To think he will have another is an extreme longshot. To think he will have as much/more success without a HOF QB than with one is almost impossible. The data is above.

I think there’s a chance he gets a job and has some more playoff appearances. I think the odds of him going to a Super Bowl are extremely long when you look at history. His best chance (by miles) was with Josh Allen. The same goes for the Bills FWIW. There needs to be urgency because when Josh isn’t Josh the chances of getting there is a fraction of what it is now.

You seem to have a lot of anger towards the poster who pretty much predicted this.  No proof?  He linked articles that it happened in Houston and Detroit.  Quite the coincidence.  He claimed this guy craved attention and what do you know, it is leaked out that the player did a donation.  And then as the poster predicted the supposed injury looks weak - at best.

No need to go the "Johnny Internet Poster" route.  The old idea that you can't criticize Beane because he has more knowledge than any poster is lame.  You see things like the PED boys and realize the FO is not all-knowing.   Also, Beane may have known of this and taken the chance anyways - the old it won't happen to me.

He has played well for a number teams, and yet he's no longer with them. There is a reason for that....

Hes not a criminal,  nor a grapest (not that anybodies implying he is), his history the last 2 years is worth watching.... but what ill say is those were mid-season waiver moves, that he had no say in going there... by teams that proli didnt love the player, and wasnt viewed as anything more than a rental.

He didn't choose to be on those teams. He chose to sign here though, and has a clear path to starting, as long as he balls out.

I have a feeling he picked up on the vibes on those other teams, didn't really feel wanted as much as a necessary evil kinda deal. Or was signed and told no chance to start... and then acted up.

That's a really bad introduction to an organization (right or wrong). Contrast that to his situation here, and you have a guy that could be a major asset.

He dealt with some rejection,  and yet we stuck a hand out and said "come on over here bro."

To a guy like CJGJ, thats huge to him, and the type of thing that earns you an incredibly loyal ride or die friend!

8 times? Where there is smoke...... Very good player but there's an edge to him that wears thin for every team he's been on, but rewrite history if you will.

Every single player in the NFL has talent

FYI the bills weren't drafting third round clean guys in round one to fit that mold.. over 9 years of Sean McDermott the bills consistently drafted guys around where they were projected meaning they weren't reaching for character over talent

Where you get drafted in the scheme fit in the NFL means much more than your actual talent level because they all have a baseline of talent

The difference between a average starter and a good starter is more scheme than it is talent.. perennial all pros have a talent that is above other players

80-85% of the league of the falls into role players which means the talent is the same it's the scheme and the coaches you're around.. Matt Milano was drafted as a role player and turned into an all pro... a really good role player could turn into a pro bowler because the talent is not that far off

So you're not drafting talent is overblown because 85% of the league is scheme specific.. everybody's looking for that 15% true difference makers.. everybody's looking for that 15% of players that could play in multiple schemes and become consistent pro bowlers and all pros

Including the bills when they brought in 4 all pros in one off season

They drafted a kid who was accused of rape... Clearly they thought the talent was worth it despite the media

i hear you and understand your point. But they did go away from talent to draft character guys. Sure they were ranked high or as high, but having guys with an edge, are needed to push the roster. Good teams do this. .................They did not know about the rape accusations until after the draft on the punter. fyi

They did know about the Maxwell hairston rape accusations... didn't stop them from drafting a guy with tons of talent who had at least a bad accusation against him

Literally before the draft with Josh Allen he had the red flags because somebody dropped all of his dumb tweets he said when he was 17.. and then people started calling him racist and homophobic which is dumb but they were

And they still drafted him.. literally we had black players on our team in 2018 saying they weren't sure how they would handle Josh Allen because of the comments

The bills still thought it was worth it.. do not believe the bills are taking character over talent.. we have had guys on our team who have been arrested and guys who have been accused of things

They're grown men playing a gladiator sport there's no such thing as a choir boy.. that's why they say you never want to meet your idols because chances are they're not what you expect

Listen to our mic'd up we have tons of guys swearing all the time, guys who get pumped up.. we have flights at training camp...  that's an edge.. they're not praying the rosary

We've had fights at training camp for 10 years.. we have guys who have been accused of things... We had guys making fun of the cowboys and Zeke Elliott... We have offensive lineman that protect Josh Allen and scrap in piles.. that's an edge

We are not a team full of choir boys who have put talent on the back burner...

Do other teams bring in more dirtbag players than the bills do? Yes...

Just because the Chiefs bring in more dirt bags doesn't mean we prioritize choir boys... They are just a scummier organization who character is the last thing they care about

Buffalo cares a little bit more that doesn't mean it's all choir boys or they're taking supremely less talent for better character... If the talent level is equal they will take the better character

Not keeping a good guy on the roster with good character over a guy with four times more talent but he's a head case

weird- having a hall of fame qb helps a team win and those are hard to come by?

what an emotional take
