WotAGuy Posted July 29 Posted July 29 “Atlanta Falcons quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is sidelined with what the team considers a "flare-up" of an undisclosed injury, according to coach Kevin Stefanski. The Falcons did not reveal the nature of Tagovailoa's injury Wednesday, but sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter that the veteran quarterback is dealing with a tight back.” “Flare up” + “tight back” = hemorrhoids Don’t ask me how I know. 2 Quote

Player doesn't want to practice because they don't like their contract, than be a man and don't show up. And the team should be, you are at the team facility, you practice unless you are injured. Otherwise, Go HOME!! This is NFL football for god's sake. I can only imagine what Ray Lewis Ronnie Lott or Reggie White, or how about Darryl Talley would do if they saw a teammate standing on the sidelines in uniform and not practicing. Nice clothesline to the head probably. Maybe everyone should just play flag football.. Those guys wouldn't do anything, literally nothing. This is the difference between players and fans. Fans want the guys on the field. Players want to get paid and players want other players to get paid. There are potentially 2 guys in the league who got injured on the first day of training camp and could be out for the year - that's why Robinson and Gibbs aren't practicing! As far as being there is concerned, it's allowed in the CBA so they aren't doing anything wrong. The teams and coaches would rather have the guys at least there and not sitting at home. If you had the chance to earn the money that these guys are set up for, you would do the same thing. To say you wouldn't is delusional 1 2 Quote

H2o Posted July 30 Author Posted July 30 (edited) After Scourton going down, now Panthers' rookie WR Chris Brazzell II will miss 8 weeks with an LCL tear. Tough start to the new season for them so far. https://www.si.com/nfl/four-key-injuries-overshadowed-first-day-nfl-training-camps Quote The Panthers were one of two teams—the other being the Cardinals—to report to training camp early ahead of the 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame Game, and have already seen two of their young players suffer injuries. The first was second-year edge rusher Nic Scourton, who suffered a torn ACL during Carolina’s first practice over the weekend. Then, during Wednesday afternoon’s session in Charlotte, rookie wide receiver Chris Brazzell II was carted off the field after suffering a non-contact knee injury. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/49480858/panthers-rookie-wr-chris-brazzell-injures-knee-having-tests Quote Carolina Panthers rookie receiver Chris Brazzell II suffered a moderate lateral collateral ligament tear in his left knee in practice Wednesday and is expected to be sidelined for up to eight weeks, a league source told ESPN, confirming a report by The Athletic. Ethan in Cleveland Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Browns made Denzel Ward highest paid CB in the league. Makes no sense. They are two to three years away from competing. He will be 30 next year. Not washed up but no longer in his prime. Plus he is nowhere near league best CB. He has a concussion history. Bad move. Once they traded Myles they should have moved Ward as well. On the flip side Grant Delpit signing an extension was a decent move. He is only 27 and it was a three year extension. Lots of guaranteed money but he is a very solid safety that should be good for several more years. 2 1 Quote

Edge Rusher Gabe Jacas who many here wanted to draft (he went at pick #55) signed an unusual contract with an injury waiver: https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/the-gabe-jacas-injury-waiver-is-unusual "As a source with extensive knowledge regarding contract negotiations and injury waivers explained it to PFT, the unusual insertion of an injury waiver into a slotted rookie deal points to three possible explanations: (1) failing to disclose a medical condition at the Scouting Combine; (2) suffering an injury after the Scouting Combine and before the draft; or (3) sustaining an injury away from the team facility after the player was drafted." Maybe, maybe not...he routinely shuts down Ja'Marr Chase twice a year, and other teams basically don't throw his way often. Yeah, the injury history is real but when he plays he's definitely one of the top CBs in the NFL. If, and it's a big if, the Browns get competent QB play they can make some strides. 1 Quote
