Ravens starting center is done for the year.

Monken coached SVP in college.

Trade makes a lot of sense.

They actually have another veteran C on the roster, but were hoping the guy who got hurt would win the job.

I thought SVP trade as soon as I saw it but Monken’s in Cleveland. Or do the Ravens still have a Monken on staff. Seriously don’t know with all the family ties in the NFL.

Saw a camp report that said this is year two in the system and Stroud is looking night and day better and more comfortable than how he finished last year. I guess we’ll see…

Better?

He can't get much better!

Sounds like Sam Laporta may miss week 1 with a hip injury.  He has been recovering from his back surgery last year still and got hit in the hip and now is out of practice for awhile.

have to think if he can’t play week 1 there would no chance he plays a few days later on Thursday.

Laportas rep is living off his monster rookie season. He’s been a good but not elite TE that his reputation gives him

Probably hoping he'll clear waivers if they do it before he plays again. Just a guess.

Id absolutely put in a claim on him. Kids an absolute gamer!!! Solid cheap backup, fun gadget red zone guy. Id make it work!

I saw him list Jaskson, Mahomes, stroud, Josh and Dak.  Wonder where this came from

edit- I guess he’s changed things up- the video I saw was from 2024

The problem is even in his great year- his receivers caught everything, DBs dropped everything, etc… stepping away from completion percentage and looking at on target throws, turnover throws etc… he’s been a lower end qb that had a tremendous lucky run to start and plays with a great defense

He wants what?

After his performances in the playoffs, he’s lucky to even be offered ~$50m p/y from the Texans.

Patriots offense impressing in joint practices against Eagles and Colts:

I saw AJ Brown get open deep down field against Quinyon Mitchell only to drop a perfectly placed ball right in his hands. Then I saw him get open deep against Sauce Gardner and that ball was caught. Maye’s touch on his deep ball is perhaps his greatest asset.

Yeah, it's interesting, especially against a talented team like the Eagles.  Just says to me we have to be ready for the Pats to seriously challenge us.  I'm just glad we have a new defensive philosophy because it seemed like Vrabel was able to break down our D consistently in the past.

He does throw a really nice deep ball.
