MikePJ76 Posted July 24 Posted July 24 The guy is worth like 150 million dollars. Employ a driver, pay him/her well. Never worry about getting in an accident and potentially injuring an innocent person and yourself ever again. I will never understand rich people nor do I care to honestly.. 1 Quote

It’s not a rich people thing, imo, it’s just a people thing. I would almost guarantee you that he was not the only person who drove away from that event over the limit. Because he’s rich and famous, Romo gets the headlines. The other guys could have afforded to line up an uber too. People of all types make bad decisions under the influence of alcohol. I’m glad nobody was hurt and hope he truly learns from it. 1 Quote

My point was he does not need to rely on uber. Regular people can uber. Get a damn driver. Anytime anywhere. Buy the driver a vehicle you want to be driven around in and you are done. With his wealth he would never even notice the difference he would however never get a OWI/DWI/DUI ever again. Romo when he was playing was known for doing really good things for people in his neighborhood and around the city. This is an odd occurrence for him but still inexcusable. 2 Quote

I mean how stupid or entitled are these guys. Whats the big deal. If you have that much money, just freakin get a car service to take you wherever you want. This ^^ There is no excuse to not get car service. For a high end cost, what would a personal limo for a night cost? $1000? $1500? This decision should be made way before the first sip of drink. BTW, I’ve had lots of car services in the past for work and they nowhere near that price. Honestly, I used to go to a favorite watering hole for a bills game even for a half. If I had my favorite wings, and a couple of drinks, I would uber from .8 miles away. Cost me $6, and just picked up the car in the am. .8 of a mile. Don’t be stupid. Just uber. It takes three minutes. We have a lot of speed traps in my neighborhood as it’s a master plan gated community. Kind of silly they spend so much time in an area that has literally almost no crime, vs. violent crimes 15 miles away. The point is just pay the damn money. It’s a drop in the bucket for a guy like Romo. 1 Quote

Nobody wants some guy following behind him all day and night. We’ve known people with that level of wealth. They can always find a ride without having some guy sitting awkwardly in the corner watching them have dinner at a nice restaurant while they dine with friends. Some billionaires have near constant protection, but that is a different league. Just be smart about alcohol and driving. He had good options, but who is to protect us from ourselves? Alcohol is built to cause you to make bad decisions. . Edited July 25 by Augie Quote

Ever since the league and the networks gaffled his analysis, he climbed into a bottle and didn't come out. 😢 'The Tony Romo Story', starring William Holden. 1 1 Quote
