Special K Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Right before training camp, I like to create a few of these Over/Under topics regarding some of the key questions/players for the coming season. When we get closer to the end of the season, I will re-visit these topics to see how we all did in our predictions. The first one is about Dalton Kincaid. We have all been waiting for him to stay healthy throughout a full season.....will this be the season he stays on the field, and finally has that breakout year?? His best season for receptions was 73 in his rookie year, and his best TD season was last year with 5, plus 2 more in the Playoffs. So what do you think.....will Kincaid break out and become that top 5-10 TE?? My Prediction: I think Kincaid is going to have a big year, but 73 receptions in this "Everybody Eats" Offense is a lot to ask. I'm going under on the receptions, but over on the TD's..... 59 receptions with 7 TD's. Thoughts?? 2 1 Quote

I too believe that although McDermott is gone that this offense will continue to spread the ball around and I view that as a strength, not a weakness. Regarding Kincaid's numbers, I think there will be several players with similar amounts of receptions but I think Kincaid will be one of Josh's first reads in the majority of red zone snaps. Buffalo03 Posted July 20 Posted July 20 They need to get him more involved. He has certainly shown flashes but either gets hurt or they spread it around a lot. I think the talent is there but they need him to stay healthy 1 Quote

Beane finally realized after his fan base almost revolted on him to finally pay attn to WR. I went under on receptions, but over on TDs as he has a knack for the end zone. I’ll believe he’ll make 17 games when he actually does it. 2 Quote
H2o Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Under on the catches, but over on TD's. He'll be between 50-60 receptions, but 7-10 TD's. 2 1 Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted July 20 Posted July 20 I went under/under. I am more confident in under on the catches than the TDs. That one I went back and forth on. 3 Quote
Gregg Posted July 20 Posted July 20 I went over on both questions assuming he can stay healthy. A healthy Kincaid is a very good player in this offense. It also doesn't hurt having 17 as your QB. The big issue here is can he stay healthy. Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted July 20 Posted July 20 I went under on both. I can't get past the decision not to have surgery to repair the knee. It seems like he's going to have the kind of season he had last year. When he plays he will be productive, but I see him missing a chunk of time. Quote

Admiral Sean Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Until he proves he can remIn healthy the under is the safe bet. Quote
Gregg Posted July 20 Posted July 20 4 minutes ago, NoSaint said: but why do you assume that? I guess I shouldn't. You can't predict injuries. If Allen gets hurt the Bills are screwed. Same with Mahomes, Burrow, Stafford and so on with their respective teams. Quote
Mr. WEO Posted July 20 Posted July 20 If he can stay upright for a season, then over on the TD's. Still think under with the catches. Quote

Winnebago Man Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Under. I dont believe he will be consistently available. I hope I am wrong... Quote
Wizard Posted July 20 Posted July 20 I am going under on both because of the following thoughts: 1. James Cook likely and should continue to feature in this offense. I expect a little bit more passing, but the run game is here to stay. 2. There is no other offensive star besides Allen and Cook, so Kincaid is in a crowded field of about 7-8 other receivers, backs, and tight ends to get the ball. Though Kincaid is the most physically gifted TE, Knox and Hawes will rightfully take away some touches. 3. Fair or unfair...his history of minor injuries looks more like a trend/pattern than bad luck or a one off. My guess: 57 receptions and 5 touchdowns. 1 Quote

I don't know anybody who demands surgery when the doctors advise against it. Quote
nuklz2594 Posted July 20 Posted July 20 the real question...will kincaid play a full season. if so, i like the numbers proposed Quote
