H2o Posted July 17 Posted July 17 https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/cb-levi-wallace-announces-his-retirement Quote Veteran cornerback Levi Wallace did not play in the NFL after landing on Jacksonville’s injured reserve list last summer and he won’t be coming back to the field in 2026. Wallace announced his retirement on Instagram on Friday. Wallace noted that he was undrafted in 2018 and went on to spend eight years in the league, which he termed a “not bad” run in the league. 5 2 1 Quote

But nothing but respect for the guy. Made one heck of a career. 9 6 3 Quote

MJS Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Remember when he called a bunch of Bills fans? He left a message on my voicemail. Classy guy. 9 1 2 2 2 Quote
Goin Breakdown Posted July 17 Posted July 17 He called my son and talked to him on the phone for about 20 mins during covid. Such a classy guy. I'll always be a Wallace fan for that. 9 4 7 Quote
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Very solid career. He was an important part of some of the best Bills teams in our history. Should be very proud of what he got out of his NFL journey. This team needs to get one so anyone that was a part of this thing from 2019 on gets their due. When the dust settles I hope all the guys responsible for this turnaround get their due. The only way for that to happen is to finish one of these seasons the right way 1 Quote
transient Posted July 18 Posted July 18 🤔… wonder what color underwear he was wearing that led to that decision? Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Fantastic career for an UDFA. He played 8 years, started a bunch of games and made $13.5M on the field. He’s leaving with his health. Congrats Levi!! 🍻 5 1 Quote

Wizard Posted July 18 Posted July 18 (edited) I honestly thought he was kidding around with the reaching out to Bills fans during COVID. I thought it was a nice gesture of him. Long story short...I took the bait. He left me a message and asked me to call back. A good dude. Hope he has continued success in his next phase of his career/life. BigAl2526 Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Yeah, for a UDFA with limited athleticism, he put together a nice career. He did it by dedicating himself to good technique and learning the mental aspect of the game. He was pretty much limited to being a zone corner because of the issues with size and athleticism. 1 Quote

RichRiderBills Posted July 18 Posted July 18 strange big story. its literally one of the top headlines on foxnews. Quote
machine gun kelly Posted July 18 Posted July 18 (edited) I’ve had no interaction with him, but I appreciate when a player takes time especially for a boy or girl for that matter to give a child a memory. I remember in 2011 I was at my NSM (National Sales Meeting) in LA, and Andre Over the Middle was our guest judge at the team building chili competition. I’m sure you guys have been to those 10 hr., + mandatory dinners etc., and one partial day team building thing. Well, after he took pics with the GM, VP of Sales, etc. my regional director pulled him over to our tent in the parking lot where we were making chili from scratch. I know it sounds stupid now, but was fun. He says this is the biggest Bills fan in our company. His first question was “are you from Buffalo”. No, but I was born and raised and moved for graduate school to Tampa. I asked him one favor, could I call my sons to just talk to you for a minute. He of course graciously agreed. Now it was 9pm in Tampa, so Ryan was fast asleep at 9 hrs. Old, but Ian, 12, literally jumped out of bed when his mom woke him. He didn’t just say hi. He spoke to him for at least 8-10minutes, and kept corporate types at bay. He said to my VP, hey, this is your biggest Bills fan, and he’s raising two more in Tampa. I thought I’d get in trouble, but he laughed and to this day meant the world to Ian. I’ve heard Levi was known for doing things like this for kids. Yes, he screwed up royally in 13 seconds, but there were a lot more mistakes made by coaches, and other players. He played above his weight for years, but I guess as they say Father Time… Edited July 21 by machine gun kelly 5 2 Quote
