The only thing that kinda surpasses given that the production all came against good playoff teams is Terrell Davis's postseason rushing performance -- 8 games, 1140 yards, and 142.5 yards per game (and 12 TDs; OJ had 12 TDs in 14 games in 1973). It's why Davis is in the HOF (deservedly). 3 Quote
US Egg Posted July 16 Posted July 16 I was a teen when he broke the record, it felt like winning some sort of championship. When he went over 2000, as a fan it was like being on some sort of hollowed ground, like Maris breaking Ruth’s record for home runs. It was awesome. 3 2 Quote

It will totally mess things up when the NFL figures out how to add an extra quarter to the game for a bit more coin. Quote

Little did I realize how legitimate the record was to stand the rest of time to this day still in so few games. Too bad he became so infamous, when he should be so famous for Buffalo. He would have been great as an aging athlete on broadcast booths from 1994- to his passing. Quote

It was a great time to be a sports fan in Buffalo. We had O.J. In football, Perrault in hockey, and McAdoo in basketball. Rookie QB Joe Ferguson started all 14 games and threw for a grand total of 939 yards for the season, completing less than 5 passes per game. If I’m not mistaken, in addition to OJ’s exploits, Jim Braxton ran for 1000 yards that season… 1 Quote
