But because Cleveland was scoring at will early, OC Ted Marchabroda switched tactics and began employing a no huddled, rapid paced offense. Cleveland didnt know how to respond and Kelly and the Offense began driving at an unprecedented high level, enabling the Bills to fight back into the game. Unfortunately, Ronnie Harmon dropped a game winning TD catch just before the last play. But the game had a lasting change as the next year the Bills employed a hurry up offense with no huddles and took the League by storm. With the late addition of the venerable James Lofton, the Offense began exhibiting a never before seen explosion that catapulted our undeniable ascension to a terrifying level that led directly to 4 straight Super Bowls! Yes, our young stars shone brightly. Kelly, Thomas, Reed, Lofton, BRUUUUCE, Bennett, Conlan, Leonard Smith and an OL that absolutely dominated opposing Defense. mushypeaches Posted July 9 Posted July 9 This remains the only Bills playoff loss that I have ever re-watched. Mostly because this was the beginning of the K-Gun era and to see it coming together during this game was a marvel to behold, even with Ronnie Harmon and his alligator arms. 1 1 Quote

Then 1990 happened and with that so did 13-3. 51-3 might be the greatest game the Bills ever played. Everything worked that day on both sides of the ball.
