Ask Leonhard; he was the assistant HC there. Overall, I don't think it is such a big deal. All these plays have a key for the players to read, on both sides. Denver found something in film study and maybe during the game for they to ready to execute it. On the play, maybe the key was not there for them or the Bills players read their key on potential Denver's fake and reacted alignment wise or did something causing the fake to be audibled off. Quote

The only problem, of course, is that Shavers wasn't active in that game -- a fact which was lost on Payton. Guy may be a good coach, but he's also an arrogant egomaniac and a prick. Nfln was replaying the colts-Saints SB over the weekend and I remarked that the onside kick to start the 2nd half in that game made his career. He’s known for that and bounty gate.
