Snappysnackcakes Posted July 7 Posted July 7 What say you all about us advocating for a corner of the new stadium to be officially (or unofficially, if we must) recognized as the “Batavia Party Zone”? We not too old people remember a time, before the league was whitewashed, when fans could actually tape signs on The Stadium Wall (no pun intended because it’s true) and one of those signs every home game was…”The Batavia Party Zone…” It was unmistakable and existed proudly during every game in OP for about 15-20 years. I’m feeling nostalgic tonight, is anyone else smelling what I’m cooking? 4 1 2 Quote
Albany,n.y. Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Before the AFC Championship game in January 1991 someone hung a sign in the 2nd or 3rd deck that said "Bo knows the Raiders suck". Security removed the sign. 2 Quote

Tuco Posted July 7 Posted July 7 (edited) Photo stolen from the Batavia Daily News. If I remember correctly, right next to this sign there was always one that said something like "Frank Duck III." Always wondered who that was. Edited July 7 by Tuco 1 3 2 Quote
BillsPride12 Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Does anybody know what was the last year the Batavia Party Zone sign was still around? I remember it went well into the Drought Years but have no clue when it disappeared Quote

Our seats were the 1st row of the club level endzone, where there was a roof from suites below us. I wrote "Fire Mularkey" in the snow, large enough that they could probably read it in the upper deck. Security came over & made me erase it or get booted from the stadium. i had no choice but to erase it. Edited July 7 by Albany,n.y. 1 Quote
