Bills player kept running, and was nowhere near Saints player who dropped at terminal velocity, clutching his nuts in agony. Not to mention, McGee ran like 160 yards, with blockers and defenders running back and forth acoss the field, refs trying to keep up….in that chaos no ref is gonna catch that glorious nut shot. On TBD about 20 years ago, we had a big thread- investigation as to which Bill delivered the perfect nut shot. We studied that play like it was the Zapruder Film. I don’t think we ever solved it. He came with Gabe Northern, He was in the basement by himself and I immediately recognized him from watching the draft, I talked to him for a while. Instantly became a favorite. Of course Bruce, met him when they had the Lakers exhibition game at the aud. Most of the team was there. Bruce had a Hawaiian shirt on and he was a massive man. T master Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Kyle Williams has to be my top player but Jerry Butler is another that I wish could have shown his full potential, unfortunately his injury derailed a very promising career one of which I think he would have been one of the best WR's that the Bills could have had . Another player that had the lunch pail Bills DNA was Aaron Schobel the guy was relentless & his production you could always depend on & just showed up & did his job & lead by example !! If I sat and thought more I could come up with some others but these guys are on top of my list of favorites !! 1 Quote

hondo in seattle Posted July 1 Posted July 1 I was 10 years old when we drafted OJ; 14 when he rushed for 2,003. Loved the guy. Amazing on the field and seemed generous and gracious off it. He was the only athlete I ever idolized and the lesson I learned was to never put anyone - outside of family - on a pedestal. Over the years since, my favorite players have been Kelly, Moulds, Freddy, Kyle, and Josh. I think both Moulds and Jackson were sadly underrated. If they had better supporting casts and spent the peaks of their careers on playoff teams, they would be mentioned as HOF candidates. But that's life in the NFL. Quote

mbs Posted July 1 Posted July 1 (edited) There were times near the end of his stay where it seemed Jerry Hughes was the only player who played like he thought they could win. I have a feeling I wouldn't like him if I knew more about him at the time, but I loved Conrad Dobler. Same for Smerlas Fitz just dropped to my second favorite QB behind Josh and just ahead of Frank. Freddie and Stevie, obviously. The entire four falls team(s). Bennet and Davis deserve more mentions no matter how many they get. Wolford, Ballard, Hull, what a team. Butch Rolle and Joe Cribbs and Jerry Butler. Don't remember much of the 80s. Most of all Brian Moorman. I kid, I kid. But only a little. (I see I got beat on this one h/t @BillsClinton.)
