That’s a cool story. I’m sure Moulds respected and admired what Flutie was showing—leadership. So he listens. That dynamic is way different than Stevie and Keon. 1. Mould’s own QB was working him. 2. Moulds is superior physically and intellectually to Coleman.

If Keon can grasp as much from Stevie as Kalil did from Moulds & Josh did from Palmer during their respective off seasons as young players Keon could quite possibly be the guy the Bills & a lot of others thought he might be able to be for this team .

 

Let's hope this will be the thing he needs to become a top receiver for Josh this year !!

That '98 Moulds season was FUN football for fans. He and AJ Brown are actually incredibly similar WRs, with the main difference being that Moulds was a MUCH bigger bust than Coleman entering their 3rd seasons, whereas Brown was awesome right away. As a rookie, Brown had a similar 20+ ypr and high TD total to Moulds' breakout 3rd year ('98) explosivity. I think Moulds was faster but Brown is bigger. Both at their best are explosive X prototypes. 

 

Both Moulds (eventually) and Brown (immediately) displayed elite competitiveness and WR1 hubris, whereas our K Coleman seems a little softer and/or much more easily distracted in his first two seasons. This is the year for a breakout, if it's gonna happen. I'd rather Coleman work with Shakir and Moulds, but let's see if Stevie can tap into the young man's drive. Stranger things have happened.

I’m just happy moulds didn’t break out in year 4. Can you imagine?
