khlax3 Posted July 5 Posted July 5 I’m surprised people are surprised by this when I bought my tickets a year ago I was told that the blue and red game was going to be for season ticket holders and it was going to be the practice run for the stadium Quote

This along with more than half of the opportunities for regular fans to see training camp at Fischer now gone. I think reality is setting in that it’s now an exclusive club that you have to have season tickets to now really participate in. Edited July 5 by Billsflyer12 1 Quote

I think the backlash probably pushed them to that But at the end of the day with this brand new stadium Palace I do believe the scrimmage probably should be first dibs to all the people who spent money... That does seem only right I could totally see them doing this because of the pushback because the bills are important to all of Western New York not just 57,000 season ticket holders Edited July 5 by Buffalo716 2 1 Quote

I’m not condemning that, just trying to point out the obvious to any newcomers. We decide how much of that we accept. I AM condemning that. We all should be. And yet, here we are! 1 1 Quote

If they have partners/investors who gave them hundreds of millions of dollars looking for a good return, do you still condemn them for trying to provide a strong return? It is not personal. Not in the least, but it is what it is. We decide how far down that road we want to go. DaVinci Posted July 6 Posted July 6 I just discovered that Josh Allen played his home games at Wyoming at War Memorial Stadium. I'm sure I'm late to the party on this but Wow. Quote

Young people coming of age, will not be generating memories, or any bond with the Bills. Kids will look elsewhere, for entertainment. -All of those years when the Bills were blocked out of Sunday NFL fare, here in the eastern part of NY State, became Jets, Giants, and (God forbid) Patriots fans. So it will go, with the NFL, eventually. Greed will lead to the doom of the league. Just an observation, and It really doesn't matter to me. I'll be dead in a few short years, even though inside, I still think that I'll live forever. 😅 2 1 1 Quote

Just Jack Posted July 6 Posted July 6 I know someone that knows someone that is working concessions this year, and they said they were told a couple weeks ago to keep August 18th open for an event at the stadium. I thought they were confusing the 18th with the 8th. Looks like they were right. Buffalo Bills add open practice on August 18 at new Highmark Stadium | Buffalo Rumblings 1 Quote
machine gun kelly Posted July 6 Posted July 6 It’s almost comical, they announce the blue and red is season tix holders only, it blows up in their face again (see the horrible McD firing press conference), and all of a sudden it’s Brady’s credit a second free and open practice on a Tuesday. Gee thanks. If they had on another weekend day, it would be understandable and why did it take another two days to announce it. If they announced both simultaneously, they could’ve turned a negative into a real positive. 1 Quote

Maybe they still will. They can do a preseason watch party for the Cleveland game. They could do some kind of pep rally. The “first look” was always going to the season ticket holders. But it wasn't "always" going to season ticket holders. That's my point. 3 weeks ago it was for the first 60k people who pushed the button on their Bills app! They made a deal about it being the "tradition." They took that back and that's my only complaint. Quote

There was a zero percent chance that they weren’t going to, at least offer, the people that committed to PSLs the first chance. Maybe it was the first right of refusal or just an exclusive event but they weren’t going to be lumped in with everyone else. Even if the plan was, “open to the public” it was going to be “season ticket holders have ___ amount of time to claim their seats.” That’s how it had always been anyway. Demand was just never so high that it became exclusive. 1 Quote
