H2o Posted June 30 Posted June 30 (edited) A lot of these rich athletes put themselves in bad situations. They think they're keeping it real and want their name to mean something in the streets. They still go back to the same neighborhoods and put themselves in compromising positions. They live these flashy lifestyles and basically put everything they have on full display via Instagram. Then, when situations like this unfold where they've been robbed, the way they handle the situations after (for many of them) is they want to react from that hood mentality. It was a bail hearing for a celebrity perp in a violent charge case. Bringing in some lady who knows the guy to speak on his behalf isn't exactly a legal Jiu-Jitsu/Johnny Cochrane level move. Communications Degrees. Unrelated, but I know someone that played at Tennessee and said that Travis Henry was a thief. He stole from teammates lockers all the time. But he was the star at UT so it was overlooked. Players basically stopped bringing valuables to the locker room. I have proof read a players 5 page essay, guy played at an SEC school and he was illiterate. He didn't use a single punctuation and his spelling was probably at a 5th grade level. The powerhouse schools have 45%-65% graduation rate. But I think the numbers are skewed higher with the back ups knowing they need to think of their future outside of football. I don't have the data or if they even have it but I would guess the starters, the guys who actually believe they have a future in the sport, their graduation rates are much lower.
