I have read stories of recruiting visits where some of these guys come from poor poor areas.  Not city poor, middle of no where poor.

Dirt floors, outhouses.  This was the 90's so not sure if it's still that prevalent.  
These kids needed to start working early on and school came second or not at all.

I too have read of poverty.  Tales of clipping coupons to buy groceries and growing up in cul de sacs, it really tugs on the heart strings.

Maybe to you but I remember years ago when the people were much more respectable & there were those that when given the chance to go to college cherished it & used the education to further them selves .

 

Sure there may have been those that didn't but I'd say especially the HOF Buffalo Bills sure did appreciate their schooling a lot more than the person we are referring to in this post .

 

If you think the world is exactly the same as it was 60 + years ago I'm sorry for you because the world I grew up in back then people were much different & things have definitely changed but to each their own ...
