This is true of people in all professions though. I have friends and family members who have phd’s and master’s degrees and are excellent in their field yet they can’t do simple things efficiently or are confused by simple tasks at home. not saying they are dumb enough to commit crimes but just saying there are lots of people who are highly intelligent but make lots of bad decisions 2 1 Quote

Yeah, its a super weird one. It happened in February, and kinda leaked out. All of the Lions fanbase seems familiar with it, but no one outside of them. I saw one comment from a Lions fan that was like "oh, that whole kidnapping thing is back?", lol. I think Arnold's lawyer originally denied it and distanced him from it all, but in the following months, they figured out he was definitely involved and now the story is hitting since the NFL player was confirmed. I had a close personal friend that played at an ACC school and was told not to show up on test days. He got a C. Another friend of mine played at an SEC school and said the same thing. He didn't, he actually graduated with a Finance Degree but stated that the majority of the other players, didn't do a thing. Communications Degrees. Unrelated, but I know someone that played at Tennessee and said that Travis Henry was a thief. He stole from teammates lockers all the time. But he was the star at UT so it was overlooked. Players basically stopped bringing valuables to the locker room. I have proof read a players 5 page essay, guy played at an SEC school and he was illiterate. He didn't use a single punctuation and his spelling was probably at a 5th grade level. The powerhouse schools have 45%-65% graduation rate. But I think the numbers are skewed higher with the back ups knowing they need to think of their future outside of football. I don't have the data or if they even have it but I would guess the starters, the guys who actually believe they have a future in the sport, their graduation rates are much lower. 1 Quote

Arnold never declared a major at Bama and never graduated, only showing up for 3 years.... Also, only 1/3 of NFL players graduate before the draft. So I'm not sure where you are getting that "most got to college for 4 years at least". It's not even close to the truth. Quote

Dawk, after I wrote my reply, I went to the gym like every morning at 6:30am. My buddy who's lived for 45 years said he heard nothing of it either, and the man is bright and a marketing firm owner, so he was shocked. He brings his phone into the gym, but I refuse. He mentioned he found more on national media sites than tampa. kind of weird as Tampa media people love this soap opera stuff. 1 Quote
