We joke about it but it’s about 1,000,000x more likely that the Killers are there playing “Mr. Brightside” than 90% of these songs playing. They just did it to kick off the World Cup but I could see that as a part of the “launch.”

Awesomeness ^^^^^^^

Or how about this

I could totally get behind this...  or play them (Immigrant song and HOTD) back to back like Heartbreaker and Livin Lovin Maid...  But I could see

Come to the land of the ice and snow

from the midnight sun where the hotsprings flow

soft your fields so green whisper tales of gore

Of how we calmed the tides of war

we are your overlords

(and they run on the the field)

Love that tune, but it can't apply since they moved a game into Detroit's dome a couple years ago🫢

Excellent song but doesn't rock enough for the opening song.

Understand. Meant it more for the words/messaging. If you’re a Bills fan you have to keep believing. We live by eternal hope, get ‘em next year, etc….

I'm as conflicted about AI as anyone but that was honestly awesome. It's likely to be the most compelling thing I watch today.

Well worth the 2:46 investment of time to watch it.

Thanks for posting it.

I'm thinking a Buffalo artist would be cool and since this was used in a national NFL ad in the late '90s and both was and would be such an unconventional/odd choice, I'd love it. Except the ad showcased players who wore the number 32 in the NFL and... well....

If you're going Buffalo, don't forget Cannibal Corpse.

Seems like Minnesota would do this.

You would think it would work there... but I dunno, with the whole Dome and 72 degree constant temp thing it loses a bit...

I didn't often work ops with uniformed military.

But, when I did, the kids (shooters, non-NCOs) would inevitably play "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" as we were crossing the wire.

Ear-splitting volume my friends. As the unknown, old geezer in the rig, it would even get me hyped.

Probably a smidge too gory for a new stadium, but wtf, why not?

There's no way I can forget Cannibal Corpse. I watched the third Super Bowl (ugh) with a group that included Alex the bassist (nice guy, very quiet... most death metallers I've met have fit this profile). My college friend group at the time included a group of metalheads and one seemed to be dating him. A couple years later, I was working setting up the Media Play on Niagara Falls Blvd. and we were talking about crazy band names and the manager said, "well, nothing can beat Cannibal Corpse." And I'm like "have I got a story for you... well not so much a story as a meaningless fact."

If we're going relentless riffs, let's throw in hardcore legends Snapcase!

Ani, Cannibal Corpse, Snapcase, Spyro Gyra, and, let's throw in one-hit wonders Joe Public to play their 1992 smash "Live & Learn" at the opener and we'll have a real UB Springfest of Buffalo acts...

Oh, and let's not forget indie darlings Mercury Rev, subject of my favorite 9/11 joke. Let me rephrase, the most bizarre (and funny... and a bit too close to home as I had a plan to buy a couple new release albums at the Borders under the WTC on the way to work that morning) 9/11 joke I know... from the king of deadpan Todd Barry...
