2026 Training Camp Announced, Just SEVEN Practices Open To Public

The Bills announced their training camp today in Rochester starting Wednesday July 29 and ending Friday August 7. The link below has the details but there are just seven practices open to the public with all practices at 8:30 am:

It is hard not to feel as though this may be the start of the end of Fisher & Rochester getting the Bills in a major way for camp. I have a few strong connections that the Bills even with extending the agreement may leave it early and they are looking to move back to Buffalo for the majority of camp sooner then later. Perhaps the Bills still do a long weekend get away at Fisher as the facilities are great for the team and it maintains a presence, but with the majority of teams now staying home for camp, a new stadium, and the Bills no longer needing the regionalization effort they succeeded with this is not a surprising outcome.

When is the date for season ticket holders to request tickets? Are they capping them at 4 tickets per ticket holder this year or can they still get 6 tickets?

An exclusive Season Ticket Member Training Camp Ticket presale will take place on June 24 at 10 a.m.

Buffalo Bills Season Ticket Members will be sent an email the morning of June 24 with details to access this exclusive presale. Due to the limited capacity at St. John Fisher, each account is limited to six (6) total training camp tickets. Tickets will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

the training camp has become such an issue to get tickets to.  when you go, it's wall to wall bodies unless you're in a specific hospitality tent.  last year was the first year i haven't gone in a long time, and to be honest...i didn't miss it.

St John Fisher was an awesome experience when I lived in Rochester. I have the most random collection of Bills autographs (Joique Bell, Stevie Johnson, Marcus Easley, Duke Preston, Richie Incognito, Fred Jackson.) Not sure how it is now, but it was wonderful experience taking the shuttle to the campus back back in the 2000s. Pittsford is a beautiful town. 
 

I feel like having the TC there makes Rochester fans feel like the team is theirs too and not just Buffalo. We are a major percentage of ticket & merch sales.

I am lucky because I have access through my employer that we have our own area so it is awesome.. BUT if I didn't I would find it frustrating. The downs of being good is everyone wants you and it is a full on zoo 24/7 to the point kids are tossed to the side by adults who have no brains just selfishness.

that is the key.  there's maybe 4-5 really good tent spots.  i was usually in one, but that was off to the side by a walkway, and you couldn't see anything at all.  the hook up is the way to go.

I agree. I have lived in Rochester since 2011 but was out here from mid 2000s on fairly regularly and the Bills fan base is huge and that little bit of time really does help to make it feel inclusive as a fanbase. 

I just see with majority of the league now staying home and using their facilities and the Bills new stadium/facilities being so good that they eventually move back. McD loveddd camp here at Fisher but Brady might not as much and that could be it. I just hope they continue where may be they do a long weekend Thursday-Sunday type thing so some presence remains.

I don't really care that much about going to training camp personally but my nephew is now at the age where it is fun to bring him(probably still too young to enjoy gameday) and from that perspective it was fun.  Sucks that it sounds like training camp at Fisher is probably on the way out altogether and sucks that it is currently such a hassle to get tix as it is.  Especially coming at a time when so many people are already getting priced out of bringing their kids and families to games at the new stadium.

Since I live in the Rochester area, I thought that having training camp at St John Fisher would be an opportunity for someone on a fixed income to see the Bills in person.  However, the Bills' ticket policy effectively closes me out.  At least I can still watch (most) regular season games on TV.

My two big things that I will forever bang my drum on forever is that training camp & the free experience it provides for fans young/old AND preseason games are actually two of the best things for fans. They are free or low cost options that allow families, low income folk, older folk, etc.. everyone an opportunity to either see players up close in a way they otherwise wouldn't OR in the case of preseason games have the opportunity to see the team stadium atmosphere etc.. that they otherwise wouldn't. My sons LOVE the preseason game even if Josh isn't playing because it is still a super fun thing for them and in their eyes they saw the Bills play. I get it as an ex season ticket holder that paying for preseason games its a little nutty, but overall it serves a really good purpose for the masses.

 

The day either goes away means another easy way to access your team gone which means your paying more for any experience or it becomes a monetized experience. Nothing is good about that situation in a league which is trying to milk everything they can.

That's what it is sounding like. Every year they are having less and less practices at Fisher. Feels like it is being phased out

I have a few connections to Fisher and I can confirm even though a contract is in place the expectation is it will be phased out and possibly ended early. Now whether they come here for even a weekend type thing the way some teams do is a whole different story. But I am expecting the days of Fisher being their camp spot to end soon unfortunately.

Not at this time. I forgot how long the current contact is. I will say it is very possible with the new stadium they want to get use to it, routine, etc.. so Fisher this year just isn't a great fit when you have a new staff and stadium and trying to put it all together. But realistically I am sure if the Bills wanted to buy out of the contract they will in a second as they have ooodles of money.

They have a lot to install with a new coaching staff. I can understand why they would need more focused practices behind closed doors, but this does suck for the fans.

.I took my oldest son a bunch when it was still relatively easy to go.  Haven't gone since it became impossible to get tickets to.   Feel bad I havent taken my youngest  but I dont miss it.  We just go to the Return of the Blue and Red thing.

 

With the new stadium the NFL in this area is no longer a viable live event for my family.   It stinks but football on television is just fine.

I didn't realize we went from 3+ weeks pre Covid down to 7-10 days. 

 

I saw online (and in this thread) that some of the reasons are the new facilities far exceed the usefulness of what can be temporarily set up at the college, and two-a-days are not allowed in the current CBA so there's less incentive to get away to stay focused if your days are significantly shorter.

 

So, I get it. You can still make the argument of team chemistry building, but that's maybe one of the weaker arguments due to not being able to have easily quantifiable metrics.
