Dunne relies too much on anonymous sources and unattributed quotes. Admittedly, he spins a good yarn with them.

I mean, it really felt like he wanted to hide deficiencies on defense by having a ball control offense that would keep the D off the field more. That's how I saw it anyway. Then he'd kinda disguise those intentions by saying he wanted to protect Josh and all that. That might be true to some degree. But yeah, the way I interpreted his heavy emphasis on run game and ball control was he had lost a fair bit of confidence in his defense...I mean, it doesn't always work to be the type of defense he seems to like which is "we weather the storm and hope for an opportunistic turnover."

yeah, that’s what I assumed too. Control the clock and protect a banged-up D. Is that bad?

The hate people have for Dunne is barely a blip on a radar screen compared to the hate some people have for McDermott.

I did listen.  For those, like me, who think Dunne is a hack, this interview is a case in point.  He provides no factual information, just “I talked to some folks and this what I think”.  Just his opinions and agenda.  He quotes no one, goes on the record with no one, yet presents himself as some sort of insider expert.  If others want to take him seriously, have at it.  I take everything he says or writes with a grain of salt.

Not much here, basically Josh will have a great relationship with Brady, better than it was with McDermott. But nothing of note in terms of sourcing and nothing new.

Agreed but it could be worse.  He could add some subjective morality lesson a la Tim Graham.

The offense has never been the problem. Maybe McDermott held the offense from averaging 40 points per game instead of only 30. The problem has always been the defense and the mind blowing way we give up 3rd and forever at will.

Well, we’re going to find out soon.  My guess is we’ll be chucking the ball around more and will be using the 3 backs more in the passing game.  And I see a more attacking defense that will make bigger plays in terms of sacks and such but also give up more big plays.

Gents… once upon a time YE OLE was preparing for a so called “high level business meeting” and sent out a quick email to several members of upper management to go over our game plan. 
 

Within this electronic communication, YE OLE suggested we “get our ducks in a row” prior to the meeting. Naturally, I is next to U on the keyboard and the message about our ducks came out very differently.

Nothing he’s said or written is wrong. Former Bills have gone on record and while not directly saying Dunne is correct, they said things similar to what he reported. Current and former players and coaches I know have also said similar things or outright confirmed what Dunne has said.

I don’t think many people here understand. You attach a name to something now that source is punished and you don’t get anymore info.
