One can assume he’s friends with Schoen.  I don’t think too much more, but maybe Harbaugh would like him for DC.  He could certainly do it.

I still contend a perfect fit for him in being offered the HC job for AZ.  He could turn that program around and create a winning culture like he did for Buffalo.

I’d only add, my middle son is a lifelong AZ Cardinals fan.  Long story from when he was 7.  He desperately wants McD there.  His remarks were they need exactly what he did for Buffalo.  He is a Bills fan as he’s not allowed at Xmas dinner without it.  So I quietly root for them as we love our kids and want their success.  I also root for them as we Bucs, and like Mayfield.  He’s a tough son of a gun.  Both my boys appreciate I follow their teams as they follow mine with the Bills.

Both have said to me, going to a Bills game once a year is their highlight.  They know our fans are something special.  They’ve both told me individually they wish Tampa fans were even remotely like the Bills mafia.

Phoenix seems like a bad place to live for someone with a pretty serious skin cancer issue.

Dave, they have a roof, and he’s probably investing in Sun block.

How about J-E-T-S?!

While the Jets job opening seems to be an annual event, they might give Aaron Glenn a chance to keep the seat warm first

Was there ever audio or video of the inspiration from devastation speech?  Rumor has it he started that brain fart with "guys, give me 13 seconds".

I wasn't happy when McD was let go but, upon further reflection, I think he's kind of a phony.  Mr. "make the kick from East Aurora" cut and run from this town when things got a little uncomfortable.  Yanked the kids right out of school because his ego couldn't handle it.  I don't respect that move in the least.  Weak.  Soft.  Now running around campaigning for the next job, after moving back to Charlotte because he really wants the Panthers job.  Lame.

Are you sure about this?

I mean, McD's a great culture guy, but to run anyone's D after the absolute complete D meltdowns time and time again in Buffalo, is mindboggling to me.

You can't tell me that the rest of the league hasn't seen the abysmal results over the tenure of his career here, when his D's crash at the most inopportune times and in the biggest moments..........i can't picture too many teams lining up to have McD as their D coordinator.

I think McD is also friends with Harbaugh, who, I remember after Buffalo beat the Ravens in the 2020 playoff game, told McD that "He hopes he wins all".

I still think that we fired the wrong guy. Auve he was bit of a control freak, but I truly believe if we drafted better, we'd had at least 1 Superbowl.

Beane may not be the right guy but the guy who can't defend a three-point lead with the other team starting at their own 25 with just 13 seconds left definitely isn't the right guy either.

McD is going to get a second crack at head coaching in the NFL. He took over a team in the midst of a playoff drought of 17 years and turned them into a contender. It’s simply too good and consistent of a resume.

If I were an owner of a franchise like the Jets or Browns in a complete tailspin I would hire McD to establish a winning culture. That being said I would absolutely want to hire a D Coordinator for him that’s outside of his system somewhat as you have to know his defensive system is better suited for the 2010’s style of NFL football.

in his corner is that a lot of defenses are melting every week
