Only game I have ever left before it was over. 5 INTs in first half. I was drinking back then but I clearly remember my 2 dogs trying to stop me from throwing the TV out the window. Quote

This justifies my disdain for Peterman. If you spiked the ball every play, your rating would be higher than Peterman. Yet 38% of our fan base is like, “yeah, we’ve had worse.” What kind of spell does that guy have on you people?!? 😂😂 Oh come on. 😂 I'm pretty sure we were texting during that game and sharing the locker room horror story. We all wanted him gone but that he tried, I don't know; a punchers chance? A Cinderella? A guy trying is better than a Cardale Jones with the talent and no effort? Quote

I will not tolerate an answer other than Peterman as the worst. I’m going to keep fighting the good fight. 😂😂 If it is, “who is your least favorite” or “who is the QB that set the franchise back the most,” I’ll let it go. Until every vote is cast for Peterman my work isn’t done. His career, not just Bills, passer rating is worse than spiking the ball 100% of the time. There isn’t an argument to be had for anyone worse than that. Less likable or more damaging? Sure. Worse? No way. 😂😂 1 1 1 Quote

My choice for the 30 year window, but the worst Bills QB of all time is Gary Marangi, who in 1976 set records for futility that still stand, 50 years later. In 1976, Joe Ferguson was leading all quarterbacks in most statistical categories going into the 7th game against the New England Patriots, Ferguson sustained a back injury and was sidelined for the season. Marangi replaced him and finished the season completing only 82 of 232 passes (35.3%) for 998 yards, 7 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. His 35.3 completion percentage is the worst all-time completion in a season (minimum 200 attempts) Marangi holds the record for the most pass attempts in a game by a player with a 0.0 passer rating, throwing the ball 30 times in a 13–34 loss to the San Diego Chargers on November 21, 1976. Overall, Marangi went 8–30 (26.7%) for 83 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Marangi 2 Quote
LittleSimonWithAGodComplex Posted June 9 Posted June 9 We might not have seen him yet, if Josh gets injured for an extensive period of time then we’ve got Kyle Allen as backup, God help us 1 Quote
SydneyBillsFan Posted June 9 Posted June 9 When Peterman went to the Raiders, Jon Gruden dropped a great one liner at practice which was not complimentary - but for the life of me I cannot remember what he said. Anyone know what he said? Quote
GunnerBill Posted June 9 Posted June 9 The worst is Peterman, without question. I said in a thread long before the Bills drafted him he had zero of the qualities you need to be an NFL Quarterback. Then they picked him.... ffs. If people want to argue that EJ was a worse return on investment, sure. He was not a worse Quarterback though. Peterman absolutely stunk. 13 hours ago, boyst said: Scale them on this rating; who tried the most? Peterman definitely did. Peterman tried. But he had zero and I do mean zero ability to justify being an NFL Quarterback. He should have been undrafted and undraftable out of college. You'd have been better putting a dog at quarterback. 1 1 Quote

That dude got to 5 super bowls for having to hold a clip board - something I could have likely done. Quote

Yeah, I mean who needs Mahomes when you can have Peterman and a cornerback!!! Ya can't blame that debacle on Beane. Nope, that was all thanks to Coach McCorner. 😁🙄 Edited June 9 by Bill from NYC 1 Quote
Chandler#81 Posted June 9 Posted June 9 I gotta go with Hobert. When you publicly acknowledge you didn’t study the gameplan, you have no place in the game. Quote

Yeah, he doesn't really belong on the list. Rob Johnson had no sense of the pass rush, but when he actually did throw the ball, he wasn't bad at all. His passing stats for his Bills career are no worse than respectable. He was a 60%+ passer, had a 27-17 TD-INT ratio, and averaged 7.2 yards per attempt. The Bills could, and did, do a hell of a lot worse during the drought era. 1 Quote
SoCal Deek Posted June 9 Posted June 9 (edited) Based solely on length of ‘career’ has to be Matt Lienhart. He played about a quarter of a preseason game a few years back and he literally looked like a guy who couldn’t have cared less. No idea what he, or the Bills, were thinking. I’ve always wondered what he got paid for that cameo performance but whatever it was it was way too much. He was gone the next day. Geeeez Edited June 9 by SoCal Deek Quote

Marangi had that backup “glow” where some folks clamored for him whenever Joe stumbled. Long ago, I read somewhere that Marangi was injured, had a shoulder injury they hid, and he tried to play thru it, as it was his chance to start. Any one else hear that story? Quote

Marangi has mentioned that in interviews. Here's some info on the end of his career: It wasn’t long before Marangi's shoulder started hurting, and after a number of operations, he was traded to Green Bay, but couldn’t pass the physical. He dressed in four games with Cleveland in the sunset of his career in 1977 and that was it. After his NFL career ended he went back to Long Island, 1st he was training harness horses at Roosevelt Raceway, then went into construction and then coached high school football. He retired as a dean from his school in 2021, but one source says he retired from coaching the team in 2023, so I don't know if he stopped coaching in 2021 or 2022. colin Posted June 9 Posted June 9 peterman was the worst pro qb on any team of the past 30 years, and might be the worst pro athlete to get however many snaps/starts he got in that same 3 decade window. reversing has catches and picks would have improved his stats one game. that's a brewster's millions level of suck.
