Stunned AND apoplectic! 😁 My first thought was maybe he makes it! And then my second thought was "wait what the hell is he doing!" He showed why he ran when he ended up in Chicago. He tried a Hail Mary and it fell woefully short. 1 Quote

He admitted not knowing the playbook. Yeah, I really think it is a toss up between Brohm, Peterman, and Hoebert. I don't think anyone else is particularly close. But I went with Brohm because I think he is statistically the worst QB of the three. Obviously, there is a lot more to their stories than just the statistics, so there is a strong case for any of the three. Edited June 8 by MJS 1 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Peterman and it's not close! Ruined my birthday trip to LA to watch the Bills play the Chargers. Only game I have ever left before it was over. 1 Quote

His best games ever were his first two. He only got worse. Aaron Maybin says hold my beer Yeah I mean you cant define a player by one game but between EJ in London against Jacksonville and NP 6 INTs against San Diego I just cannot think of anyone who played worse than those two... that was some of the worst QBing I can remember 1 Quote
Gooseman9 Posted June 8 Posted June 8 It would be Ed Rutkowski in late 60's. Given he was a wide receiver who was used a the 'emergency QB', He wa still awful. Turned out he was a better County Executive. Quote

He was, at least at one point, statistically the worst QB in NFL history!! It wasn’t like, “he wasn’t very good.” At one point, he was the worst QB to ever play. You could make the argument that Losman or EJ was more damaging because of resources but as a player it’s Peterman by 100 miles. This is wrong. it was BJ Hobert. EJ Manuel tried, Peterman tried, all of those QB's tried. Hobert did not try, care, or produce. For the lack of effort he is the worst; he could have been much better. Second would have been Cardale Jones and Peterman. Peterman did all he could with a coach who should have been fired, drawn and quartered at after the first two INT's. 1 Quote

Rocky Landing Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Late Nate, and it isn't close. Astonishing he was made the starter. Quote
WotAGuy Posted June 8 Posted June 8 All-time worst Bills QB would be Benny Russell. I think the Bills got him a weekend pass from the military to back up Ed Rutkowski in 1968. Came in for two plays; a 3-yard completion and a second attempt batted down. That’s his entire pro football career. Quote
shane nelson Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Billy Joe Hobert initially had my vote with his famous quote "I did not think I would play today, so i did not study the playbook". Then i saw turnover Nate. Quote
CSBill Posted June 8 Posted June 8 I have to go with Hobert, based on all-time stupidity level. He set the standard for how low the bar can go. Not sure if it will ever be beaten? At least Peterman tried. Quote

By that point in the game the Bills offense had 18 yards and we were trailing 40-0 on the scoreboard. Still unbelievable that McD actually chose to start the guy when we had other healthy QBs on the roster. Multiple times. He needed “to learn and grow”. Quote
ChevyVanMiller Posted June 8 Posted June 8 (edited) It should be Peterman, the turnover king, but Billy Joe admitting to not reading the playbook catapults him to the top of the list. Edited June 8 by ChevyVanMiller 1 Quote

If a QB spikes the ball every play his passer rating will be 39.6. Nate Peterman’s career passer rating is 39.4!! This justifies my disdain for Peterman. If you spiked the ball every play, your rating would be higher than Peterman. Yet 38% of our fan base is like, “yeah, we’ve had worse.” What kind of spell does that guy have on you people?!? 😂😂 Edited June 8 by Kirby Jackson 1 1 2 Quote
dgrochester55 Posted June 9 Posted June 9 (edited) Hobert if you go by effort alone, Peterman if you go by stats, I will say Hobert because at least Peterman was trying. Jeff Tuel and Bruce Mathison also deserve a little consideration as well, but both of them were below replacement level players on bad teams who probably should have never been put in that position in the first place, so I do not rank them as low. Losman, Edwards, and Rob Johnson were busts, but not all time worst because there were some flashes of hope and success early in their careers. My football memories only go back as far as 1985 so I am sure that there were some awful options in the 60's and 70's that I missed. Edited June 9 by dgrochester55 Quote
