BillsPride12 Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Peterman is as worst Bills QB to play in the last 30 years as Josh Allen is the best Bills QB to play in the last 30 years Quote

Bray Wyatt Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Didnt Peterman help us win the snow game against the colts that helped us get to the playoffs? I voted Hobert for that reason. Dude didnt even read the playbook Quote

Like another poster already mentioned, there were just so many sucky Bills QB's over the years. Peterman was the worst IMO but there was competition for sure 1 Quote
dpberr Posted June 8 Posted June 8 My pick is Rob Johnson. 1st and 4th round picks were sent to the Jags. He received a 5 year, $25 M contract before throwing a pass for the Bills. Quote

OutOfBubbleGum Posted June 8 Posted June 8 There must be a lot of younger fans that don't remember Billy Jo Hobert stinking up the field because he didn't take the time to learn the playbook. That is why he was the worst. I would bet all the rest took the time to learn the playbook. Quote

It wasn’t like, “he wasn’t very good.” At one point, he was the worst QB to ever play. Exactly. Most disappointing? Probably EJ, because he was the first QB drafted (even in what we've learned was one of the worst QB draft classes ever). Most infuriating? Yeah, Hobert for sure. But the gold standard for horrible QB play is still Peterman. 1 1 1 Quote
Jauronimo Posted June 8 Posted June 8 5 hours ago, Bill from NYC said: If we are not only discussing QBs, I must respectfully disagree. The 2006 draft was loaded with good players at positions of need for the Bills. Levy said that he rejected multiple offers to trade down. Instead, he drafted Lil Donte Whitner at #8. Donte wouldn't have been a bad pick as third or fourth round selection, but to draft him at #8 was the definition of stupidity, and the hallmark of the Levy/Jauron era. Thats your origin story. 55 minutes ago, 2003Contenders said: Nope. He started the game and couldn't finish it. J. Johnson came in and led the team to victory in overtime. Joe Webb. 2 Quote
thenorthremembers Posted June 8 Posted June 8 E.J. and J.P. were bad first round picks but at the very least they had NFL level athletic tools. They were bad, but nowhere near the level of sucktitude of Nathan Peterman. He had 13 interceptions and was sacked 12 times in 5 career starts. He was either throwing an interception or getting sacked trying to not throw an interception. The game was way too fast for his poor arm strength. Does anyone recall him scrambling instead of trying an end of half hail mary? 1 Quote

The Firebaugh Kid Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Peterman was comically bad. Just watch the lowlights. It's HILARIOUS. Quote

As a result, he had a VERY short tenure. Peterman was chosen to start and had an epically & historically bad statistical performance & by eye he was pretty dang poor too. He somehow managed to stick around for awhile (& somewhat surprisingly managed to stick around in the league for several years). I voted for Peterman. I voted for Hobert, I figure his sense of priorities (studying the play book not as important as having a good time) has to be considered as a major factor in his evaluation. As far as EJ Manuel is concerned, he was a horrible first round pick, but the way I read the question doesn't take into account draft position. The question is, "Who is the worst QB to play in the last 30 years?" Not, "Who is the worst use of a draft pick?" That's just how I read it. 1 Quote

I remember being in the car, and hearing Bulldog Parker react to that after the play by play went back to the studio announcers. Stunned AND apoplectic! 😁 Quote
