The Sporting News proposes massive Bills/Vikings trade.......would ya??????

I honestly don't see how this trade could work Salary Cap-wise, and I also don't see the Vikings accepting this offer unless Jefferson forces it, but here it is:

Bills get: WR Justin Jefferson

Vikings get: 2027 1st, 2nd, and 4th rounder

                     2028 3rd and 5th rounder

I would. It’s not realistic (at all) but I would without blinking. The Rams are setting the tone that the cost is irrelevant for stars. Figure the rest out but when the window is open you push your chips in.

Ummm nope.  Quit it or don't mortgage the future. We've had enough wasted money over the last few years. Just stop. The Pats cleaned the books, took a 2nd year QB to the SB and have the means to build a team to kick our asses for another 20 year run. I get it they hit the skids for a couple of years and benefited, but we don't have to do that. How about drafting a J.J. or a Crosby, etc. I think it's cool what the Rams have done, but we don't have that kind of FO.

I get not wanting to spend all that capital. I don’t get the concept of Justin Jefferson as “wasted money.” You could call Josh Palmer wasted money but not Jefferson.

Are you talking about the team that just traded for AJ Brown?

Comp is way too high.

That feels higher than Garret. 1, 2, and 4 in the same year is huge.

You have to factor Verse's value. Verse on his own was worth more than a 1. Maybe a 1 and a 2 or a 1 and and 3 at very min. He's a 24 year old 2X probowl pass rusher.

No thanks, if I'm trading for any player today it be for Aidan Hutchinson. Not that he's available but to me he fits a need and is at an age that he can contribute some a substantial amount of years after. I'd give up what's proposed for Jefferson and Rousseau and ask for a 6th in 2027 and 2028 back.

And why would the Lions do that with their window wide open?

I'm sorry, but I'm not a fan of the 'don't mortgage the future' arguments. Josh might be the best player this franchise will ever see, and at the most important position. Josh is right here, right now, it's time to do whatever it takes to win a damn Super Bowl.

Yes you do this and not think twice

Indont want to look back on Josh career 10’years from now if we don’t win a SB and always wonder “what if” (if Beane doesn’t once push his chips in)

We need to make a huge splash

Not worth the price imo as we already got DJ Moore and drafted Bell, so the need for WR isn’t as high.

If we were spending that kind of capital it should have been on Myles Garrett

Why? That is an astronomical price that no team would agree to. This seems like a Madden trade, or something.

Sure, when McD was fired, the "don't mortgage the future" conservatism should have gone with him.

Unfortunately, Beane, like McD is still nibbling at the edges, and now the dreaded roster/scheme misfit on defense is with us.
