BillyJoeBills Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Per ESPN and Cbssports, Coach McVay has reached out to Aaron Donald to return and partner up with Myles Garrett; Donald is very interested in teaming up with fellow future Hall of Famer, Myles. What a marriage in Rams heaven and a nightmare in hell for any NFL team that stands in their way. 1 Quote
Gregg Posted June 3 Posted June 3 He is 35 and has been out of the game a few years. He probably can still be a good player but the days of him being a dominant force, I don't know about that. 3 2 Quote

Cameron Jordan, Cameron Heyward, Calais Campbell are all on wrong side of 35 and playing at a high level. You ever see Aaron Donald working out with Jared Verse? Donald's still a monster and a freshly rested one at that too 3 1 1 Quote

One of the greatest at position but being away from the game for a few years and at 35 to now come back and play at the level he used to won't be easy. I do think he can still be a good player so we will see how this plays out. Quote
Royale with Cheese Posted Wednesday at 06:04 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:04 PM Do you guys think I could block Aaron Donald one on one if he had Isiah McKenzie on his back and his shoes where tied together? 1 Quote
machine gun kelly Posted Wednesday at 06:07 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:07 PM I listened to this yesterday on WGR, and thought, even at 35, that dude with having Garrett there, he’ll have a much easier time. Sounds like a team on a run for a SB. 1 Quote
BillyJoeBills Posted Wednesday at 06:09 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 06:09 PM I don't understand the doubts surrounding Donald returning after 2 years away. A number of players have returned after layoffs such as Eric Weddle and more recently, Phil Rivers, and safety and QB requires a lot more getting up to speed with reading defensive and offensive formations than defensive tackle. Injuries? You could be a rookie DL like TJ Sanders and get injured easily. 2 Quote
machine gun kelly Posted Wednesday at 06:16 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:16 PM Donald will kill it when he has someone else to take the heat off. As good as Donald is as a DT, Garrett is the alpha male, a man amongst buys in any environment. Quote

H2o Posted Wednesday at 06:24 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:24 PM People laughed when I mentioned it the other day. I would not be surprised if they talked him into it. Byron Young-Braden Fiske-Poona Ford-Aaron Donald-Myles Garrett That would be crazy. 1 Quote
Special K Posted Wednesday at 06:24 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:24 PM Coming back after a long stint has been done before.....in fact it was a player on the Rams. If you don't know it, research the story of Marcus Dupree: Marcus Dupree's legendary and highly publicized return to professional football occurred in 1990 when he signed with the Los Angeles Rams. This marked an incredible comeback, as he had left the game five years earlier after suffering a severe knee injury in the USFL. The Injury: A devastating knee injury forced him to step away from football entirely in the mid-1980s, leading many to label him "the best that never was" The NFL Return: After intensive rehabilitation, he successfully made his return in 1990, playing two seasons as a running back for the Los Angeles Rams before being waived prior to the 1992 season. I believe that 1 he hasn't completely quit working out he was that guy that when it came to working out he was in impeccable shape which is why he was as good as he was, then you add to that his body is now had time to completely recover 100% !! Add to that how many millions of reasons he could add to the motivation factor also with Garrett on 1 side & him on the other they won't be able to double team him like they use to so there would be less punishment game in & game out . So if he does make the decision to come back yes it will be a challenge but for someone like him I think he would definitely be up for it & another SB ring to add to the one he has sure wouldn't hurt ... With that kind of pass rush added to what they had last year & the points they put up last year should be some where similar they could be the NFL's night mare & probably look as close to the dominate Bills 90's teams as any team has since then .
