CEN-CAL17 Posted Tuesday at 10:42 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:42 PM Not sure if this has been mentioned, but in today’s OTA, there was quite a few clips of Clayton in a Blue Jersey and running with the defensive line. 6’7” 305, that a big DE which in much needed in a 3-4 scheme. Maybe this can pay dividends. Thoughts? Quote
NewEra Posted Tuesday at 10:46 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:46 PM Likely cut before he ever plays a snap imo 9 Quote
co_springs_billsfan Posted Tuesday at 10:48 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:48 PM Now everyone upset about Beane not signing/drafting a true NT can shut up! Myself included! 2 Quote
akcash Posted Tuesday at 11:42 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:42 PM Never know. Was a rugby player. Going forward seems like maybe more natural thing for him Quote
BlueRed Posted Wednesday at 12:11 AM Posted Wednesday at 12:11 AM I know he’s been around for a few years but I wonder how many full speed practice reps he’s actually gotten. I feel like the Bills are always thumping or walk through. I don’t know how someone like this is supposed to truly develop without massive amounts of full speed game action. He’d probably be farther ahead getting some time in the spring league instead of sitting on the practice squad. 1 Quote
dgrochester55 Posted Wednesday at 12:15 AM Posted Wednesday at 12:15 AM Most of the time, this is a last attempt to stick around in the NFL but you never know, sometimes it works out. Example of this include Jason Peters, Logan Thomas or George Wilson. 1 Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted Wednesday at 12:57 AM Posted Wednesday at 12:57 AM I don’t want to overreact to a 7th round pick but Taro Tsujimoto was as good of a draft pick. 5 Quote

Cash Posted Wednesday at 12:01 PM Posted Wednesday at 12:01 PM When he was first drafted, I thought he should be taken through the basics at every position on both lines. Both to give him a crash course on gridiron football, and to have a more thorough evaluation of where he might project best. He was drafted as an OT, but that “position” was based on virtually nothing when you look it up. 2 Quote
EssexBill Posted Wednesday at 12:08 PM Posted Wednesday at 12:08 PM Much as I would love a Brit to get on the bills roster, this has a hint of desperation about it and I think he’ll be cut again 1 Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted Wednesday at 01:07 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:07 PM They crushed the dreams of Christian Wade. Now they're crushing the dreams of Travis Clayton. 1 2 2 Quote
Max Fischer Posted Wednesday at 01:43 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:43 PM Clayton does not have one snap in a real game. Not in the NFL, college or even high school. At his current trajectory, Clayton will never play OL in a real game. But that doesn't stop folks from getting upset because the coaching staff want to give him a go at DL. It costs the Bills nothing, except a few practice reps. Quote

You're being too kind to Clayton. Tsujimoto was a historic pick. First Japanese player ever selected in the NHL draft. 1 Quote
TheyCallMeAndy Posted Wednesday at 02:26 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:26 PM Idk if he's officially moved, or just had him try some stuff. Great size and 10/10 athlete who worth a shot. Quote
BigAl2526 Posted Wednesday at 02:32 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:32 PM Clayton has freakish measurables. If the Bills think they have enough depth at OT, why not try him at DE. 1 1 Quote

Clayton has just been a science experiment that we will forget about as soon as he no longer gets the free space on the PS (which I think is this year). Have you ever heard the story of when Mike Leach wanted to put a little person in the backfield for short yardage plays? Basically his idea was, you’d hand him the ball and then guys would pick him up and throw him across the line of scrimmage. 😂😂 It’s kind of genius. Drafting a little person to execute this strategy (which apparently isn’t even legal) would have been a better use of a pick than Clayton. 2 Quote

Have to wonder if he came up with the idea after a late night visit to either The Continental or Sanctuary in Buffalo back in the day. Quote
