Are they?  It could as easily be " where the hell is Keyon...he knows his arse needs to be here"

Look, Coleman as been bad so far and not lived up to his draft status.  For all the BS regarding Terry's comment, he had to be on thin ice as is.

If I was placing bets, yes. My bet would be that they know why he wasn't there. Even in the case you state, if a guy is in town and doesn't show and they don't hear from them I'm confident there would be a wellness check done on him.

There have been several clickbait headlines suggesting Moore is struggling. Then when you read what he actually said it was “it’s good now, later it will be perfect.”

No, it was an exact quote.

“It’s going good,” Moore said, via Katherine Fitzgerald of the Buffalo News. “I mean, it’s gonna be perfect later on, but right now it’s still growing pains.

Based on DJ saying this on May 30th (4 days ago) after just 6 OTA practices, what would be an appropriate reaction by a fan who generally has things in the proper perspective?

You can ask DJ Moore because he said it, not me. Here’s his twitter. He’s actually pretty engaging with fans.

Maybe you'd be happier to be a Browns fan. How about this out of OTAs there:

Second-year quarterbacks Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders threw interceptions in Wednesday’s practice, and Todd Monken didn’t sugarcoat his thoughts.

“We threw interceptions in seven-on-sevens, for God’s sakes,” said Monken, a first-time NFL head coach. “I mean, who does that? There’s no pass rush. It was embarrassing.”

I feel sorry for Monken. Your first Head Coaching job, and this is what you get to work with--add to that their ownership.

But I love his honesty. It is refreshing.

Match made in heaven.  Train's picking up speed already for the inevitable derailment.

Lots of negativity on Keon not being there. But do we even know what he wasn't? Maybe he had a legitimate reason not to be there.

Can we collectively stop clutching our pearls until we at least know why he didn't attend?

C’mon!!  My torch is lit and everything!!

I guess Keon does not know who Wally Pipp is. Bills WRs were making plays all day.   Come on Keon you have to try harder.  You get one shot.  Don’t keep sliding down the depth chart.  Keon, you can do it, if you can dedicate, big if IMO prove me wrong Keon I’m rooting for you

I’m sure most of the younger generations don’t know who Wally Pipp was.    Maybe we’ll have a new comparison where Skyler Bell becomes a star and becomes known as a “Keon Coleman” situation.

I’m terribly sorry for you that you don’t understand this quote by Moore does not in the slightest way suggest he is having problems with Josh or his fit with the Bills.

I thought the same thing about Monken when I saw that quote but then later on I saw a quote from him about Deion Sanders which I found to be patronizing to the point that I questioned his sincerity:

“I can’t wait,” Monken said, via multiple reporters. “I’ve got a lot of respect for coach Sanders, obviously as a player but also what he’s done as a coach. He’s done a great job with Shedeur as a father. I’m open to any time he wants to meet. He said he was going to come but he had a commercial. If he just tells me where the next commercial shoot is, I’ll be there. I really am looking forward to it. I’ve got a ton of respect for him and I’ve got a ton of respect for Shedeur because all he’s done since I’ve been here is work.”

Sincere, sarcastic or sycophant.

You make the call.

My point was, we fans would not be told either way.

“Struggling with the offense” and “having growing pains” are not the same thing.

We’re talking about professional athletes operating near the top of their profession. When a player joins a new team, especially a receiver who has to build timing and chemistry with a new quarterback, there are always going to be adjustments. That’s normal.

The important thing is that DJ Moore never said he was struggling with the offense. Those are your words, not his.

What Moore actually said was:

“It’s going good. I mean, it’s gonna be perfect later on, but right now it’s still growing pains.”

That’s not a player saying he’s having trouble adjusting. That’s a player acknowledging that he is learning a new playbook, new terminology, new route adjustments, and building chemistry with Josh Allen. Every veteran receiver who changes teams goes through that process.

The phrase “struggling with the offense” carries a very different implication. It suggests a player is behind, having difficulty picking things up, or not meeting expectations. Nothing Moore said points to that.

In fact, his comments suggest the opposite. He said things are going well and that they will continue to improve as everyone gets more reps together.

This feels like a non-story. A new receiver is working through the normal process of getting on the same page with a new quarterback and coaching staff. Calling that “struggling with the offense” is adding a negative spin that simply wasn’t in Moore’s actual comments.
