Agreed.  Descending player.  Enjoy the cover six.  Their plan is to flip it to him and let him run over some DBs.  At some point someone is going to get tired of that and take his knees with them.

He's big, fast, and strong and that allowed Hurts to just toss up rainbows when he was in trouble and many times it worked. Maye will do the same and his deep ball is about as good as it gets, so I don't like that part of the trade

 

I just think he's clearly a bit overvalued on this site, and the fact that nobody came in with a first this season to top their offer kind of indicates that. Heck, wouldn't a second rounder in 2027 be better than a 2028 first?

 

Good move (not great) for the next year or two for them, but I think it unravels and the loss of a first rounder will hurt them moving forward after that

Beane has to be right about the WR room. We are relying on one of Keon Coleman, Josh Palmer, or Skyler Bell to be a significant contributor. I would have just traded for the sure thing and dared teams to stop us.

 

This.  We should have done it.  It would have also sent a message that the expectation is to compete against the Rams for the Super Bowl

Do you know 2028 draft is worse than 2027?

 

By all considerations, 2028 is projected to be an exceptional class. Of course time will tell. All we know is 2027 draft is projected to be better than 2026.

I'm as worried about the Pats today as I was right after the SB - that is to say, not much.

 

The stars aligned for them more than I've seen the stars align for ANY team in many years last season.  They were very healthy, they played no one, and then had a playoff run that was the definition of a cakewalk, culminated by playing Stidham in the AFCCG.

 

We're winning the division by 2-3 games if Allen stays healthy.

That's relatively cheap for a real star. It says to me that the league has Brown valued less than a real star. If he was a standout winner, somebody would have offered more than the Patriots gave.

Moore is older, hasn’t had a 1000 yard season in 3 years, and required a new deal….and was going to be cut. Beane masterclass.

That's not a lot in return for the Eagles. Which means they REALLY wanted him gone, or he's really regressing or BOTH.
