Sure he was talented when he was healthy early in his career.  No argument there.  But he has faded, and is pretty much an afterthought at this point.

That happens to a lot of guys over their careers in pro sports.  That's why the truly great ones are special.  They do it for a long time.  But with the money so great in most pro sports (maybe hockey is the exception) in the modern world, you don't have to be special for a long time to be set for life.  Tremaine Edmunds is a perfect example.  Guy has made a ***** ton of money for barely being mediocre over an 8 year career.  Amazing what looking like a physical freak can do, even when you don't play anywhere near that.

I was originally applying to that fact his entire career was based off one catch, which is just simply not true. In the early part of his career, he was one of the best WRs in the game. 5 of his first 6 seasons he had 1000 yards receiving and the one he didn't he tore his ACL early in the year

The last Bills WR to have 1000 yards was Diggs in 2023. The last two seasons, they haven't topped 850 despite having an MVP QB.

Beckham is not the same player he was, but nobody is. To say he was mediocre his entire career is simply not true. AJ Brown, who has played one less season and hasn't dealt with nearly the amount of games missed, has only 50 yards more than Odel in career yards

You misunderstood what I was meaning.  I meant that Tremaine Edmunds was mediocre over his entire career.  And his first 4 years with the Bills I would argue he was less than that.  As for Odell.  He was a star early on.  And then became a non factor due to injuries and the aging process.

Don't get me started about the Bills WR's.  Terrible the past two seasons but for a few hi lights from Mack Hollins two years ago, and the consistency of Shakir.
