SirAndrew Posted May 27 Posted May 27 I don’t condone this behavior, but it’s never very interesting to me. I expect the charges to disappear shortly. Quote
H2o Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Terrible stuff, depending on the truth of everything he is charged with. But we have seen with James Pearce and Stefon Diggs how all of this stuff just sort of gets swept under the rug or tossed out the window. Even Kareem Hunt and Joe Mixon, who were caught on video assaulting women, are still are out on the field. 1 1 Quote

Yes its unfortunate that believing the victim is no longer the norm... with several things we have seen lately, Ariaza, Diggs, others... there is always that chance that people are trying to embellish, lie, frame, extort, or not give the full truth. Those people destroy the credibility of not only themselves and those they accuse, but future accusers face the question are they lying... That said, I get the feeling that is not the case here especially with property being destroyed and the fact it seems they were called to the scene... the others I mentioned above happened well after the incidents. I believe the victim, but reserve judgement on the perp. If true he should be in jail. 1 Quote

Thrivefourfive Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Do the Chiefs just slip in the new contract offer at the bottom of the criminal paper work? Eliminate the middle man. Like bundling Disney+, Hulu YouTube+, etc etc etc 1 1 Quote

machine gun kelly Posted May 27 Posted May 27 I make it a personal rule to not judge someone until a bunch of evidence comes out, but it doesn’t look good. I’ll always remind people Araiza was completely innocent and proven conclusively, but only after a year or longer. He went through hell. If Jacobs really committed these crimes, I hope he goes away for a long time, ruins his career, and never plays football. The most likely option is he pays off the claimant, and it goes away. But when I think about my two sisters, my wife, daughter or even my ex-wife, I’d want to kill the guy who hurt some I care who can’t defend themselves. Beating, raping or sexual abuse with another child is inexcusable. The last thing for me is elder abuse. Once proven, these people deserve no mercy! none! Now if this is a shake down, then the courts can figure it out. I’m very aware from friends who have falsely accused of being forward with a woman that works for them and then the accusation means guilt and can ruin someone’s life. That’s why I reserve judgment. No one on this board knows the truth, nor me. 1 Quote

H2o Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Saw this update on the story today. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2026/05/packers-rb-josh-jacobs-arrested Quote MAY 27: Jacobs will be released from jail on Wednesday, Schneidman reports. No formal charges have been filed yet, but that could change. In its official statement, the Brown County District Attorney’s Office announced: “After reviewing the available evidence in this case, the Brown County District Attorney’s Office is not yet prepared to make a formal charging decision. Our office has requested additional investigation, as there is reason to believe that additional evidence may exist that would impact whether criminal charges are appropriate, and what charges would be issued.” Quote
