I don't hold out much hope, or expect anything beyond what we've already seen out of Keon really.

He said the same things last offseason... I have little hope... but little is not none... I am Missouri... Show me.

There is something there.  His maturity is being questioned and that being called out impacted his confidence imo.  He has shown flashes both seasons.  Still only 22 hopefully he puts it all together.

Strongly disagree with that.

Watkins was directly insulting people's lives, being condescending at best. Keon is only saying they don't understand the NFL cause they've never been there. I don't see much if any similarity there. He said several times that all the noise and critics are on the outside. He cares about the people in the room. Totally makes sense and there's no element of condescension there that I can see.

That interview sounded really good to me. Doesn't mean he'll ever turn into much. But it's possible, and a good attitude will be of help.

100%.  I didn’t hear a condescending tone or excuses.  He manned up and knows what’s at stake.  Can’t wait to see what happens.

At least he acknowledges his short comings & knows that he can do better & wants to prove that he can do better . His motivation is in the right place so lets see if he can be the guy that they thought he could be ...

We have 2 WRs we can count on (Moore and Shakir), the rest of the spots are a free for all and I hope Keon steps up and takes one of the spots. Deservedly he gets a lot of criticism because he’s sucked on the field and lost that fight he had early on but Palmer, the rookie and everyone else behind DJ and Shakir have shown nothing in this league either so clean slate and let the cream rise to the top

When Keon explodes this year and makes the typical year 3 jump all of you doubters are going to look like fools. He’s only 23 years old, younger than Skyler Bell.

He is going to contribute in a big way this season. Guaranteed he goes over his past two seasons yard total combined this year. Bookmark this🫡🔥

so he's 10 years older than tremaine edmunds?

It's hilarious to me that the owner blasted this player in a press conference discussing how people should stop blaming Beane for bad draft picks and now there is a full PR press to sell him as an exciting part of the offense.

It makes me think that originally there was no way Brady was going to be the HC, or that Terry is just that clueless, or that nobody was talking to each other.

It is incredible, really.

2025 Keon's assessment of his last season - "Trash"

2026 Keon's assessment of his last season - "Ass"

He basically said the exact same thing going into last season -

2027 Keon's assessment of his last season - "Poopy doo-doo"

He's still got "mid" and "dog water" to use. So maybe give him two more seasons.

It's always this. Terry is god awful at press conferences.

Most overblown thing, did you even watch that press conference and remember "exactly" what the question was/Terry's response?

Pegula never "blasted" Keon, or said it was a bad draft pick.

FACT: Beane was questioned about the draft pick of Keon Coleman.

FACT: Pegula interrupted Beane, to defend him by saying "The coaching staff pushed to draft Keon."

From there, tons of interpretations formed, but mostly what you just posted.  Which was never stated----

As I said at the time of the press conference comments, Pegula WAS DEFENDING BEANE.

BACKGROUND/MOOD at the time: It was a contentious time.  Fans and media were puzzled & frustrated with McD being let go and Beane retained and PROMOTED.  On top of that, Beane had previously made comments on WGR that got the fanbase riled up about the WR room.  In addition, Pegula and Beane advocated that the roster was SB-caliber.  There was also "swirl" about how much "pull"/decision-making power that McD had in the draft process.

That all added up to the media member asking Beane specifically about Keon, and the decision to draft him.  Beane defended the selection, but he wasn't going to add the "coaches pounded the table for Keon" comment, Pegula felt the need to do that to support his decision in keeping Beane.

Your second sentence is just hogwash, mainly because you are confused on the original intent of Pegula's comments.  Maybe Joe Brady advocated for Keon, we know Josh was a strong advocate --- again, fans spinning what they want to hear or just not paying attention.

I hope Keon turns it on this year. There is nothing that will be said by him, or about him, between now and week 1 that means anything. I don’t care about how good he looks in his workouts. I don’t care how much he dominates during training camp. I don’t care if he’s going half speed in drills at camp. None of that matters.

There is no player, that I remember, who has more attention, for his production, than Keon. Last year when those new uniforms came out, I’d bet anything that his was the 2nd most popular. We started to see more Cook as the year went along but week 1, Coleman was the 2nd most popular Bills jersey.

There should be no pressure on Keon to perform. He should be found money if he turns it on. We all HOPE that he consistently becomes the player he flashes at times. If Keon is the same guy that he’s been for the 1st 2 years, that shouldn’t hurt the Bills. If it does, shame on them for being in a position where they NEED him to be more than what he is. He needs to be house money. By all accounts he worked hard this offseason and Brady believes in him. None of it matters though, go perform and silence the doubters.

I agree with all of this, but it would be nice if reporters could let it go and not keep asking him about Pegula’s comments. Just let the kid play.

Except he didn’t. But keep spreading the lazy narrative.

I am not lowering any expectations for him.   He's a high second round pick and if he doesn't have a breakout season he needs to go.   That said, plenty of wideouts who went on to be great players struggled in their first two seasons.   Davante Adams, Demaryius Thomas, and Jordy Nelson all had slow starts to their career and turned it around.    When you look at Keon you have to factor in that he gives you nothing beyond being a wideout.   He gives you nothing on special teams, and cant show up for meetings on time.   Anything less than becoming a very good second option as a wideout is a complete failure for him.   If he cant nail down the second wideout spot he needs to be inactive on game day and moved at the deadline.

This comment makes zero sense to me at all

He's not living up to my perception of worth for a 2nd round pick, so he needs to go

If he's the best 3rd or 4th option, why would you get rid of him and make your team worse?

Those spots still have value

He wasn't that last year, he was the worst option on the roster, why he was benched

If he becomes our 3rd best wideout this year, that's not useless territory

As far as I’m concerned it should be a step further. Keon shouldn’t be a guy with media availability at this point. He should be looked at as a depth WR. We aren’t hearing questions galore about Josh Palmer. No one is sticking a microphone in his face.

I understand allowing Keon to respond to the comments but if the reporter didn’t ask about Keon in the first place, Pegula probably (maybe) would have never said anything. There is WAY too much attention being paid to Keon. At this point he’s somewhere between your 3rd and 5th best WR and, at best, your 4th pass catching option. Stop focusing on him

It was probably a bit hyperbolic to say he needs to be a #2.  Fine if he's the 3rd best stay the course.  But your 4th, 5th, and 6th options need to play special teams and Keon does not.
