for a guy needing to grow up it’s the exact wrong thing to be saying

that said, plenty of immature guys play fine. Hopefully he steps up enough.

He's a basketball player that wants to be a basketball player but is playing football because football will pay him to play it. It's his second choice and his lack of commitment to it reveals it. The easiest thing to do is show up on time. For it to be a multiple time issue tells you what you needs to know. "He looks pissed off." At who? Us? The coaches for attempting to hold him accountable? It certainly didn't sound like himself for playing himself halfway off a team by year 3. I hope I'm wrong and he tears it up, but I doubt it.

It’s good that he understands this, the key here is can he do something about it?

Me I think that Sean not being here will work to relieve his mental anxiety to some degree, which if true is a benefit to both Keon and the team, 🤞🤞

This guy has a narrow skillset that, if utilized correctly, could be a big positive. Particularly in the red redzone. Stop trying to turn him into Andre Johnson and let him become a poor man's Plaxico Burress.

More like a TEMU Tee Higgins

I hope Keon turns it on this year. There is nothing that will be said by him, or about him, between now and week 1 that means anything.

How about week 2... maybe?

when Sal asked his question about Keon keeping his job I just imagined Keon saying “f**k you bruh, least I still got my job”

I didn't really care for his remark to effect that his detectors will never line up across from him. Smacked of Sammy Watkins comment about people and their little jobs.

You're right, I will never do what you do for a living. You know what I can do that you can't? Show up to a freaking meeting on time.

Strongly disagree with that.

Watkins was directly insulting people's lives, being condescending at best. Keon is only saying they don't understand the NFL cause they've never been there. I don't see much if any similarity there. He said several times that all the noise and critics are on the outside. He cares about the people in the room. Totally makes sense and there's no element of condescension there that I can see.

That interview sounded really good to me. Doesn't mean he'll ever turn into much. But it's possible, and a good attitude will be of help.

Also don't love that he mentions his touchdown in the loss to the Broncos as a positive. Something kinda self-absorbed about that.

Come on, man. The question is specifically that he assess how last season went for him specifically. Of course he's going to talk about the touchdown as a positive.

But to remind folks, here's what he said, "I mean getting benched for four games, I feel like that was unacceptable. Ended up on a decent note. Had a touchdown, so that was ... I wouldn't even call that a confidence booster, it was just a positive to end the season on but we lost. So that was another negative to erase that."

Immediate return to a team perspective there despite the question being about him, not the team. And it's not as if he didn't specifically address the negative as well. Nothing whatsoever wrong there.

Problem is that people hear what they want to. There are an alarming number of people on this very board that just can't wait for Keon to fail so they can yell out "SEE..SEE...I TOLD YOU SO...I WAS RIGHT...LADD WAS RIGHT THERE..."

That train of thinking is absolutely bonkers to me. The guy is still in a Bills uniform. We should be rooting he puts it together because that potentially helps us in the goal of a Super Bowl if he does.

I am not lowering any expectations for him.   He's a high second round pick and if he doesn't have a breakout season he needs to go.   That said, plenty of wideouts who went on to be great players struggled in their first two seasons.   Davante Adams, Demaryius Thomas, and Jordy Nelson all had slow starts to their career and turned it around.    When you look at Keon you have to factor in that he gives you nothing beyond being a wideout.   He gives you nothing on special teams, and cant show up for meetings on time.   Anything less than becoming a very good second option as a wideout is a complete failure for him.   If he cant nail down the second wideout spot he needs to be inactive on game day and moved at the deadline.

When Keon explodes this year and makes the typical year 3 jump all of you doubters are going to look like fools. He’s only 23 years old, younger than Skyler Bell.

He is going to contribute in a big way this season. Guaranteed he goes over his past two seasons yard total combined this year. Bookmark this🫡🔥

Idk if he will break out or not.  Curious how Brady’s approach will play out.  After a few season of being broken down seems like Brady is going out of his way to try to lift him up.  Some people respond better to that vs a more cold approach.  Hopefully it works out for him.

He can add to special teams. The last season he was in college he was one of the top punt returners in the nation.

His biggest sin up to this point is he was late or missed a couple of meetings. Boo hoo. Heck, I was late to work a ton at that age. He's not out driving 100 miles an hour with an unlicensed handgun in his glove box. He's not laying a whooping on his girlfriend. He's not testing positive for PEDS. He was late to work a couple times and the last coach tries to make an example of him. The pearls that are clutched of a couple of times showing up late to work is baffling.

And if he can't "nail down the second wide out spot" he STILL has value as cheap depth on a rookie contract. He knows the playbook and has time in real game action on this offense with Allen. He would still be worth more then a late day 3 pick in case there are injuries at the position.

Keon Coleman reeks of the likes Mike Williams and Aaron Maybin.  He sounds like he just fell off the turnip truck, which makes me think he has a very low football IQ, and most importantly, runs routs like he's got cement in his shoes.  You can't coach speed and quickness into a player, and he's got an abundancy of the opposite of those two traits.  He's not a starting receiver on any CFL team, let alone the NFL.  Hoping Joe Brady is smart enough to cut bait before he costs the team a win.

I'm not jumping on his bandwagon so to speak, but given the roster I think one more shot at being a contributor  isn't a bad idea. Sink or swim this year.

The dude still stinks and is at best WR4 on our depth chart .

Unless he takes a a massive step he won’t be getting a 2nd contract and rightfully so.

I have a feeling that what Keon said in that interview has been told to him by the new HC ... One more chance.

Last year by all accounts he was really good in Camp and the preseason then did little when the regular season arrived. I'd love to see every player on the Bills  wildly succeed, Keon as well, we'll see.
