Smacked of Sammy Watkins comment about people and their little jobs. Thought he’s correct in a sense, it’s really dumb of him to say that. If struggling young players want to know how to act then look no further than his own QB. Allen has dealt with more unjust criticism and hate that I’ve ever seen. From his very first start until now. Coleman should take notes, but I doubt it. 3 Quote
bearstobills Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Like how he looks. Like how he sounds. His story is still being written. 3 1 Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted May 19 Posted May 19 I hope Keon turns it on this year. There is nothing that will be said by him, or about him, between now and week 1 that means anything. I don’t care about how good he looks in his workouts. I don’t care how much he dominates during training camp. I don’t care if he’s going half speed in drills at camp. None of that matters. There is no player, that I remember, who has more attention, for his production, than Keon. Last year when those new uniforms came out, I’d bet anything that his was the 2nd most popular. We started to see more Cook as the year went along but week 1, Coleman was the 2nd most popular Bills jersey. There should be no pressure on Keon to perform. He should be found money if he turns it on. We all HOPE that he consistently becomes the player he flashes at times. If Keon is the same guy that he’s been for the 1st 2 years, that shouldn’t hurt the Bills. If it does, shame on them for being in a position where they NEED him to be more than what he is. He needs to be house money. By all accounts he worked hard this offseason and Brady believes in him. None of it matters though, go perform and silence the doubters. 16 2 2 Quote

Special K Posted May 19 Posted May 19 He's not being asked to be the #1 guy........just fit in, stay ready, be on time to practice and meetings, and produce when your number is called.... 4 1 Quote
H2o Posted May 19 Posted May 19 I don't hold out much hope, or expect anything beyond what we've already seen out of Keon really. 3 4 Quote

Which is what the bills are asking him to be this year, a role player. Can he be a Mack Hollins? I believe he can. There is a lot more matchups he can win in that role than Hollins. I don’t think the bills are viewing him as a #1 receiver any more. That does not mean he should be released, or as the local reporters argued “not worth the trouble of being asked about him every week from the media.” … all depends on him getting past the maturity issue 3 Quote
Wizard Posted May 20 Posted May 20 I am cautiously optimistic. Up to him if he wants to push past the narratives he has brought on himself, thus far. 1 1 Quote
Victory Formation Posted May 20 Posted May 20 He seems really pissed off, which may not be a bad thing.. If Keon had a breakout year it would be huge for the Bills.. Quote
todd Posted May 20 Posted May 20 He’s trying to channel Churchill’s “It’s not the critic who counts” speech, but with less eloquence and stature to back it up. Play well and all will be forgotten and he’ll be respected for turning things around. Do more of the same, and he’ll be gone. 3 Quote
Ray Stonada Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Might be that he already lost his best chance to be an important target for the Bills last season. Top 3 in targets will probably be DJ Moore, Shakir and Kincaid. Will be fight between Keon, J. Palmer and Skyler Bell for the number 4 spot in targets. I think Bell will win, but let's see. 1 1 Quote
TheBrownBear Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Needs to let his play do the talking. I'm in the camp that believes he doesn't have the skill set to be much beyond what we've already seen from him, but he'll get one last chance this season, so I'll hope for the best. 3 1 Quote
SydneyBillsFan Posted May 20 Posted May 20 "Ass"? Checks American-English dictionary....Ass: 'a part of the human anatomy best known for dispensing nothing but crap' I concur Keon. Hopefully you are motivated enough to produce something that doesn't stink. 1 Quote
Ray Stonada Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Also don't love that he mentions his touchdown in the loss to the Broncos as a positive. Something kinda self-absorbed about that. 1 Quote
