Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 So, are we critiquing this, like your sixth grade teacher's public speaking module? 🤔 2 4 Quote

Makes a lot of references to Terrell Bernard, so doesnt sound like he's going anywhere anytime soon. Edited May 19 by DrDawkinstein 2 1 Quote
RoyBatty is alive Posted May 19 Posted May 19 All I learned is they have a tug of war competition sometimes, I am not complaining but anyone who thought there would be some great Revelation or he was going to sound like Vince Lombard 2.0 will be disappointed. Quote

Look for WGR AM 550 (the voice of the Bills fan) to do an in depth exposé on the hazards these tug of war and other team building exercises can do. * "EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT! Kincaid hurt during OTA tug of war! Out until October!" * 😉😁 1 Quote

Guys in 3-4 bases are usually at least 230-235. Edited May 19 by UConn James 1 Quote

And that said, looking at Leonhard's most recent roster in Denver, his ILBs were 226, 226, 231, 235, 241. Elarms-Orr weighed in at 234 if that helps. 🤷♂️ I'm not going to worry about 5-10 pounds when what we really need is better IDL play to keep them clean. 8 1 Quote

I have absolutely seen him listed at 215 and 218. IIRC a couple of years ago there was a short snippet that he was dropping weight to get faster. 1 Quote

But hey, let them run his butt out there, maybe him getting blown off the field will wake them up. signing a contract that’s difficult to get out of one year in isn’t super arrogant Quote

Try to be somewhat an anti-buffalo bills poster that doesn't stretch the truth THAT MUCH. Let's wait to we see what they are going to do. Quote

But sure, I'll just believe the sites that use his combine weight from 6 years ago because that never fluctuates... 🙄. As I said, he dropped weight. He needs to put it back on +. 3 Quote

Right? Other than observing that he's no worse a speaker than McDermott (and possibly better with practice), that was my main takeaway. It's got me interested to see how much he claps during games. 1 2 1 Quote

Ok I had to - here is a what google says is a motive or reason behind saying “right” as a follow up to your statement, opinion, or evaluation: Seeking Agreement or Reassurance: Speakers often use it as a substitute for "don't you agree?" to check if the listener is on the same page and to build social connection. Softening the Statement: It can act as a buffer, making a declarative judgment or opinion sound less abrupt or demanding. Maintaining Conversational Control: Similar to "um" or "like," it serves as a vocal pause that gives the brain a second to catch up without allowing the other person to interrupt. Asserting Authority: Conversely, it is sometimes used to emphasize a point so the listener feels the information is obviously correct, effectively shutting down debate. McD to me was “asserting authority.” How can anyone disagree with this? I just think everyone else started to talk like him. And Brady, if anything it’s “softening the statement.” 1 Quote

A skilled speaker can accomplish the same thing with how he speaks and uses nonverbal cues. 2 Quote

Now all I need is an adenoidal voice, and WGR can hire me at minimum wage to replace some high cost veteran announcer. 😁 Quote
