EmotionallyUnstable Posted May 15 Posted May 15 That two week away stretch of MNF @ LA just to turn around and play in Vegas the following Sunday is tough. At least they’re rewarded with a bye week after. I wonder if they will give any thought to staying on the west coast that week. As if the holidays weren’t stressful enough, he’s a Bills game to work into the plans smh 1 Quote
davefan66 Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Tough opponents, but the scheduling isn’t too bad. We have a bunch of two game road series, but they are mostly one tough opponent per series. Ending with 4 road games out of 6 games is going to be rough as the away games will be against 3 playoff teams from last year. Balancing those with home games giants Miami and the Jets is nice. Decent balance of prime time games when it comes to home and away. As a season ticket holder, gotta say I love the idea of 3 home games by October 4th and only 2 home games in December /January. Hate the Turkey Day game as I know I’m going to have to work the next day. Would have loved an earlier time that day. Overall, tough opponents. But scheduling doesn’t seem to cause any unnecessary issues. 1 Quote

Gregg Posted May 15 Posted May 15 At least we get Miami at Miami on January 3rd, so the heat won't be an issue at all. I am fine with the schedule. My guess is the floor is 11-6 with the ceiling 13-4. To get to the ceiling however they can't have a bad loss like the Miami game last year or the times they lost to the Zach Wilson led Jets twice. 1 Quote

BearNorth Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Anyone find it interesting that the Bills only have two games on Fox this season. Interestingly both Home games vs. AFC teams - Chargers 9/27 & Fish 11/22. Quote
Rockinon Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Brutal beginning stretch. Early Bye with 10 strait games before playoffs. As a player, it's tough not being able to be with family on both Thanksgiving and Christmas. 1 Quote

The Lions were the most expensive ticket in the NFL, with their lowest tickets going for $400+, but the Bills will take over that crown of having the most expensive ticket in the league. At least for the inaugural year of the new stadium. Those are season ticket holders reselling their seats. Not the price the Bills are asking. Quote

Hopefully Allen isn't on the IR after week one. We will see what Brady is made of week 1. It could be great or go off the rails very quickly. Hopefully Josh Palmer lasts more than 1 series. Quote
quincy Posted May 15 Posted May 15 I like being at Houston in week 1. That is the best 1pm game and will be the most hyped non primetime week 1 game. Maybe a rare Romo 1pm game. Detroit will be a stern test on short notice in week 2 but the spotlight will be on us and the new stadium, appreciate it, it will only happen once! I always thought that Detroit would be a good choice to open the new stadium but would not have predicted week 2 TNF as being when but now embrace it. This year we have the biggest amount of primetime games and holiday games. So in my mind we are virtually guaranteed an international match next year. Time for Beane and Josh to start lobbying, "I love Mexico", "I love Brazil", "I love Canada". Get the location that you so desire like the Bengals did in Madrid. I know Bills fans aren't partial to transatlantic trips for the team. There are 9 international games this year. I am sure there will be at least 10 next year. Does the NFL want to have a game in Canada next year? Bills are already marketing in Canada as part of the Global Markets program, so it'll "make sense". Ticking the box and getting a game in Mexico City, Rio or Sao Paulo, or Toronto/Montreal/Vancouver would be a scheduling win for the Buffalo Bills with the opportunity to grow their brand in a location either bordering us in Canada/Mexico or in the same hemisphere in Brazil. 1 Quote

I think it stinks more for some football fans. Let people enjoy the holiday, and spend time with family away from distractions for at least one day. I’m actually more than fine with a later Christmas Day game. I’ve always been more of a Christmas Eve guy, and after about noon on Christmas Day,folks are usually bored and looking for something to do, which is why it’s a huge day for movie theaters. People will just plan their family get together around the game. 1 Quote

Gregg Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Just looking into the future. 2027 features the AFC South and NFC East. At least in 2027 we get the Texans at Highmark. https://fbschedules.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/ Quote
chris heff Posted May 15 Posted May 15 The schedule is the schedule, it’s really not official until this site updates it in mid October. That being said, Houston is a curious opener, did not see it coming until it was leaked a couple of days ago. Texans have a great defense, but what about the offense? Is anyone afraid of Stroud? Couple of nice WR and David Montgomery, but OL underwent complete overhaul. They are a work in progress. This could be a make or break for Ryans and Stroud, I’m predicting break and it will start with the first game. Toughest games are the non conference game, need to win at least three of those. I’m still not buying the Patriots. The Broncos? Maybe The Ravens have new coach. I know so do the Bills, just seems to me Ravens move was more drastic. Chiefs? They can’t play the style of football they used to. Anybody else scare you? As to the video, I think it was intentionally absurd. Schedule release hype is ridiculous, considering that it is purposely leaked. What was funny was how bad the pitch was and that as dumb an idea that Josh had, they went with it. Because this is his team, what Josh wants Josh gets. He played it perfectly. He must have a good acting coach. 1 Quote
GerstAusGosheim Posted May 15 Posted May 15 It may be a tough schedule, but the NFL is also doing the Bills some favors... Opponents coming off a bye before facing Bills: 0 Opponents coming off a long week (Thursday game prior): 0 Opponents with a 1-day rest advantage: Week 6 at Raiders, Week 10 at Jets Bills with a rest advantage: Week 3 vs Chargers (+3) Week 8 vs Ravens (+7, off bye) Week 13 at Patriots (+3) Week 16 at Broncos (+1) Week 17 at Dolphins (+2) 2 3 3 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted May 15 Posted May 15 They competition level in the NFL is not as much as people make out. Those teams at the bottom, more years then not are really not that far off than those that make the playoffs. Sure, there are exceptions every year, like teams such as the Cardinals, Dolphins and Jets appear to be looking at finishing poorly and taking a QB high next year. However for the most part it matters more on WHEN you play a team. What's their injury list like? How many days of rest did they have? Those are the real stories IMO 1 1 Quote
