BuffaloBillyG Posted May 14 Posted May 14 $17M AAV for Achane. The Cook contract looks better and better. 2 6 Quote
DapperCam Posted May 14 Posted May 14 I will say Achane is extremely fun to watch (not against the Bills). He has another gear that not many players possess. 1 12 Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted May 14 Posted May 14 (edited) For all the pissing and moaning people love to do about Beane, he’s one of the best at player retention and contracts in the league. He always gets guys to come back at fair deals to them and the team that quickly establish themselves as bargains and steals. Cook deal was about as good as it gets. Elite player at a discount. Also nice to see the RB position revived from a comp standpoint. These guys have some of the shorter careers with the punishment they take while still being incredible players to their teams. Was a shame to see top guys being so under paid for a while there and now nice to see teams rewarding talented players who have fewer chances at paydays later in their careers compared to most. BillsFanForever19 Posted May 14 Posted May 14 And to think - there were people screaming "if Janes Cook wants a penny more than 10m - tell him to take a hike!" 2 6 4 Quote
transient Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Awesome, now the Pats will have to pay a RB 20M AAV just to keep pace. 1 Quote
Kincaid Kool-Aid Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Cook getting lapped faster than I imagined. Gotta hope he doesn’t start looking around and start demanding more $ already. 4 Quote
Sojourner Posted May 14 Posted May 14 One of the best dual threat RBs. Can only think of a handful of guys better in that role: CMC/Bijan/Gibbs/Saquon/Cook Definitely a needed retention for Miami. 1 Quote
EssexBill Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Good for him, he’s going to earn that money with about a thousand carries though as he’ll be Miami’s entire offence 2 1 Quote

Achane would be running wild and all the sudden he doesn’t get the ball for 2 quarters. Love him as a player. Hate that he’s on a rival. But they absolutely should make him the offense. 1 2 Quote

The Giants letting Saquon walk, and him subsequently almost winning MVP in Philly, was the best thing to happen to RBs. The pendulum had shifted too far as to “how easily they are replaced.” The Bills wisely got on this early and secured a great deal with Cook. 4 4 Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Like the Jets, the Fins are never gonna get it. It sucks NE has figured it out. But once they pay Maye, there wont be a AJ Brown and Doubbs type offseason either. 1 Quote

They are like .500ish to me and Maye is a middle of the league QB. Playoff Maye is closer to the guy I think he will be than 1st half of 2025 Maye. I dont think that they’ll be bad again but I think that they’re a team that perennially is in the WC hunt. The Jets are the team, to me, in 2 or 3 years that could be the threat. They will have to nail the QB and HC next offseason. They will have the ammo to do it assuming Woody doesn’t screw it up. Edited May 14 by Kirby Jackson 4 1 Quote

If Glenn gets fired during the season then I could see them promoting Frank Reich to interim HC. 1 1 Quote
T.E. Posted May 14 Posted May 14 If he could stay healthy, he'd probably be the best back in football. I hope with the new DC, we won't let him catch 14 screen passes for 11 yards a clip every time we play Miami. 1 Quote
Bookie Man Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Just landed him in a trade in a dynasty league. Gave up Bucky and pick 1.07. 1 Quote
