Hard to picture him being able to keep any of it.  Dude had a long history of brutal injuries, but obv we know nothing as of now.  Maybe he was at the facility and got hurt, but guessing we woulda heard that by now

Anybody know if dudes a malcontent? Wonder if he hates the situation he was drafted into and thinks this is his chance to play elsewhere lol weve seen crap like this before

Moss was a highly touted RB coming into college, but has been plagued by injuries. Hamstring, ACL/MCL, Ankle, Ankle again. He only played in 32 out of a possible 51 games in 4 years. I am guessing he might have felt he was just done with being hurt all the time after being at rookie camp.

This is going to happen more with NIL if players are Saavy about saving money. Obviously what they get in college isn’t enough to live the rest of their lives but it does give them a head start on not having to bash heads with other NFL guys into their mid 30s.

Moss probably made decent money at A&M , realized he didn’t want to do it anymore. Hopefully he has a nice nest egg to figure out what he wants to do next in life

Sure, if I were a Fish fan would annoy the heck out of me, but it also speaks to the Fins front office.  They are the ones who look like idiots.  If the guy doesn’t want to play, fine.  Does he deserve this contract, no, but he most likely checked with his representation, and believes he has a legal case.  Regardless if his intelligence, his agent most likely advised him this was an option.

It could, and its easier to say it does cause its the Fish... but a guy like that isnt going to openly advertise this plan.  Theyd go through great lengths to keep it hush and not let on.

I think survivor bias in play here, and really it could happen to any team.... but I dont know Moss' personality. I could abs be wrong and there were 25 other teams that didnt have them on their board after talking to him & scouts

If it’s future guaranteed money, he doesn’t  get it; if it’s guaranteed money via signing bonus, then he’s good.  Hope he got the latter, just to stick it to the Phins and billionaire Steve Ross

He will be arrested on July 13th so maybe the Fins are just dealing with this proactively...

Way to do your homework Fins.  I am not a lawyer, but I doubt he can keep the money. I would imagine guaranteed is for injury or if the team cuts him. I would also imagine it's in the contract that the 250k guaranteed doesn't include retirement.

He wasn’t a draft pick.  He was an UDFA

No, if the Dolphins demand repayment he doesn't get to keep it, even if it was a signing bonus. It's covered in the CBA under "Forfeitable Breach."

Actually, the Miami Dolphins invented suing to get a signing bonus back

The writer must be Nostradamus :  To make matters worse, he was also arrested on July 13, 2026, on a charge of disorderly conduct involving threat or ab–e. Apparently, he made threats against an anonymous person. But he got out after paying $300 in bonds.

Just to nitpick, it says "may", not "shall" be required to forfeit the signing bonus.
