Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted May 12 Posted May 12 (edited) This chart is from an article in the Athletic ranking every team from easiest to toughest. Personally I think this always is over stating the obvious. So it's based off lasts years records so teams in weak divisions have 6 somewhat easy games. Detroit plays NFC south, so 4 easy wins plus Jets and Miami in AFC east. Cleveland and Bengals near top as play each other, plus Steelers and Ravens were nothing spectacular last year. At the bottom Arizona plays Seattle, LA, and San Fran twice each plus AFC west and NFC east so real hard. Bills somewhat tough as play NE plus AFC west and NFC north. And by November this will be way off for half the teams! Edited May 12 by Ed_Formerly_of_Roch 2 Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted May 12 Posted May 12 I gave up on that years ago. Teams change too much for that to be close to being accurate. 2 5 1 1 Quote
BillytheKid Posted May 12 Posted May 12 (edited) I agree with what you are saying. While I understand why a lot of people do this for comparisons and content and it’s fun to do, the reality is no one knows how tough the schedule will be from year to year because so many moves are made each off season, so you can’t go by the previous years and how good the teams were. With Kyler Murray on the Vikings, they might be at least 8-9. as far as the Lions, they backslid with losing their OC so we’ll see. Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Based upon the quality of their football organizations' play last year, it's only fitting that Miami and Arizona are in the 'brutal' category. 🤔😁 Quote
Sojourner Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Bills schedule is just as tough as it’s ever been since they got in the groove of winning rhe division. Only a couple of easy games in theory: @Raiders & @Vikings then the Jets. Don’t think Miami turn out to be as bad as many believe. Won’t surprise me if we split games with them. Quote
Comebackkid Posted May 12 Posted May 12 that looks wierd... every team is avg or easier than avg except for two teams that are brutal? nobody just has a hard schedule? Quote
KHAN Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Somehow New England's first place schedule is easier than our second place. God I F'ing hate them. I hope we destroy the fargin' bastages. 1 Quote

Of the 6 teams with the best Vegas odds to win the AFC this season, New England (4) is the only one to win their division last year. Of the top 3, Buffalo (2) is the only one that even made the playoffs. 2025 was such a bizarre season that it’s tough to project how that translates to 2026. Quote

Yeah Bears went to plays off and won 11 games, but the Lions won 9 games, they weren't chopped liver. 14 of the 17 games both teams play are identical, same home and away for whop they are playing. Bears play Jaguars, and Eagles at home, plus Seattle on road. Lions play Titans, Giants at home and Cardinals on the road which I'd say Lions 3 games are more against chopped liver teams compared to Bears. The 3 different opponents for Green Bay are Dallas, Houston, and Rams which agai\n are much better than who the Lions play. Just compare Seattle with 14 wins to Arizona with 3 wins, that's +11, Eagles won 10 more than Giants! I'd say with 100% certainty Lions have a much easier schedule than Bears. When you add up the total win differences for the teams, Bears are playing teams that won a total of 23 more games than the Lions opponents won. Quote

Mahomes, Lamar, and Burrow all missing the playoffs last year was something I wouldn’t have guessed in a billion years. I don’t think it happens again as long as all 3 are starters. 1 Quote

I agree….teams can change records from year to year very much. were the bad teams really bad or was iypt a difficult schedule. the other thing missing, are were the games at home or on the road. It can. E a bid different if you play the harder teams at home and weaker ones in the road. 1 Quote

I think Raiders and Vikings will be tough, too, particularly the Vikings who are primed for a bounce-back season, imo. When they calculate these things at the end of the season, I'd be very surprised if the Bills don't have one of the toughest schedules. Quote

Not buying any stock in the Raiders just yet. Vikings are contingent on Murray or McCarthy. However if either of them show up like they did last season then the defense really is the only thing to worry about but with Josh, all good lol Quote
